Thats terrible!

He should apply for welfare. The government can provide money for housing and food. That way he can survive. Otherwise he will die. He has no money.

His parents better pay for his cell phone, and other expenses

I think he should counter sue. Take their money! He should also steal some stuff for his house.

Again, thats killing him. If you limit food he will starve and die

If you buy him nothing he will rot away

The parents will have blood on their hands and be known as losers and a failure

And everyone will hate them. They wont ever be allowed to show their face in public and for good reason.

Nevermind the 30 year old, it's so sad that as a property owner, you can't just kick people out. You have to wait at least six months in NY. That's six months of unpaid rent, possible damage to property, and risk of falling behind in your own bills, if you depend on the property's income.

The parents are SO pathetic

Writing a note? Seriously?

They should give him a free allowance of money monthly and then kick him out

That way hell have a source of income and a place to stay

Win win!!! He can stay at home and not have to die. Since he cant work and has no way of getting money for food and hobbies.

To all the people siding with the manchild, im sure if this was your kid, youd have limits too

I would never raise a child so inept and dependant on me. And if I did he would have been out on his ass a whole lot sooner than at 30 years old.

And I'm not taking his side, he's a fucking loser. But I do have some sympathy for him

So you want your kid to die? If you do that

He.
Will.
Die.

It's a hard world, sink or swim. I would be more than willing to help my kid and give them every advantage I can in life, but they've got to be willing to help themselves as well

And if I raised a kid that literally could not survive without me past the age of 18 I am a colossal fucking failure as a parent.

Yes and parents need to shelter them. If they cant survive parents are entitled to keep them.

Everyone needs help. Some can handle it on their own. A lot cant. Have sympathy that a 40 year old will still live with their parents!

Kind of feel bad for the guy, he's obviously got horrible parents who haven't prepared him for life at all. Now he's 30 and basically a lost cause.

They should keep him in the home for life. If they truly want him to be happy they need him to stay for life.

You wouldnt kick out a dog would you?

Life is not about just being happy. Perhaps living under a bridge for a few days would be all the motivation he would need in order to better his situation.

Nope. If he lives under a bridge for a few days, he WILL die. Its disguisting for that to happen

Life IS about being happy! His parents need to do his JOB and take care of him!

They wouldnt force their cat or dog to live under a bridge. Neither should their kid!

Im glad your account is just a gimmick.

Huh?

Im
Just spitting truth. If you had a kid and they were on their own they wouldnt survive

Two options
1) stay at home forever
2) be on their own, starve and have no money and die!

Lol, my kids are intelligent and will be able to care for themselves. I have taught them skills like construction, lawn care, and plumbing which they already could earn money doing even if they neglect to obtain additional training.

Wow thats crazy lol

I have no skills. So I would die.

Literally buy chicken breast, run it under water to clean it, put it in the oven for 20mins at 400F, put salt/whatever spices you want on it, and you're done

Buy steak, put salt on it, put it on a fry pan with a little bit of olive oil, cook it for 4.5mins on one side, flip once, cook for 4.5mins, you're done

Buy microwavable packeted vegetables if you're lazy

There, you can now cook two basic meals that you can live off.

Ok. I dont have to do anything to the chicken while in oven right? Just leave it. And how much salt.

What do you use to flip steak? A spoon? And flip to the other side?

I dont eat vegetables so I have to skip the packaged vegetable part since I wouldnt touch those.

So thanks, those are two meals I use from time to time.

But im scared Ill burn the house down. Or if it gets burnt and I have to open a chef Boyardee can since I would starve

Just leave the chicken. Don't open the oven, don't flip it etc. Preheat the oven for like 10-15mins first too. You can use as much salt as you like - depends how salty you like things.

You flip it with a spatula when you're using a fry pan.

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1489/7938/products/Product_Image_900x1107__2pc_Spatula.jpg

Protip: Do not keep flipping the steak back and forth. You only need to flip it once. You will be nervous that it's going to burn if you leave it on one side for 4 and a half minutes. It won't (unless you have the heat set to the highest setting). Each stove is different but I just turn the knob to 3/4 full heat and that works for me. I have an electric oven too so it may be different if you have a gas oven.

Look, when I moved out and started cooking, I burnt the shit out of everything, or undercooked it and had to throw it away. But I learned over time. You can only learn by doing. You won't burn the house down.

Ahh. How do you pre-heat something.

You turn it on and wait for it to heat up

Most ovens have a light that turns on (or off) once it's at the desired heat

Turn oven on
Turn heat to 400F
Wait 10-15mins
Put chicken in and wait 20mins

Ahh thanks!

I might try the chicken this week and steak next week!!!

Me too. Unfortunately, working overnights, sometimes you don't have a choice.

I don't understand this mentality. Does it taste good? Are your taste buds satisfied?

if so, why would you want less of something if it fulfills your cravings unless you're incredibly conscious of your health.

Can you cut stuff up that's the first part

honestly thats all it is

you just need to know how not to cut off your fingers when cutting things, and how to cut things properly after that. then just knowing how to control a fire or heat so you dont burn things

then everything else if just following the recipe.

its not masterchef.

Yeah I dont know how to cut

I dont know to control heat or what that means. I dont know how to use a pan.

Recipes are hard to follow since some say to mix XXX with YYY and I dunno how. Also Ive never worked an oven in my life.

I tried to make a meal 3 times and failed so I gave up lol. So I buy self made meals with a microwave. Or eat fast food for dinner. When I invite people over I serve them Burger King, pizza or chef Boyardee meals.

Your job should NEVER define you. EVER.

A career is just something you do to make money. That's it.

Cats and dogs don't get job. Neither should we.

Plus, people who have jobs can't have 12 hour gaming marathons or binge watch anime.

OK I'll bite - what if somebody LIKES being defined by their job? They are a really good surgeon, or skilled computer engineer, or run a homeless/transition center etc

If that's how they want to spend their lives, more power. If that's their definition of fun, ok. Personally I want a normal person life, not work 200 hours.

Also, a lot of people can't get jobs. Especially for LOTs of people with no marketable skills that they can't ever gain

underneath the rampant trolling of this thread, TC isnt wrong though.

the average american who works full time works 47 hours a week and that does not include the commutes to and from work which are made worse by the standard rush hour traffic times, so it is not uncommon to add another 90 minutes a day in travel time for work.

I've seen one to many people do that and go to college full time and I am looking at them wondering, how are you still functioning? school work can be time consuming not to mention that classes are another 12-15 hours a week + commuting to and from school. then if they have a family on top of that.....I am guessing this is how people eventually go insane as it is just too much. theres no time to sleep and exercise and eat half way decent.

I'll never like working full time, its entirely too many hours in a week, and if i had a wife and kids, i'd want to actually you know spend time with them and not be hunched over at an office desk all day instead. far to often when i've worked full time and tried to take care of myself via eating right and exercise, I get up at 630 or 7 to be at work by 830.....and factoring everything in like exercise, commutting, eating right, it is easily 9 or 930 a lot of times before I have any me time for anything. but then its about time for bed! thats not really a life.

yet i see people claim to work full time and shove in school somewhere and a family and I'm just dumbfounded at how they do it. I guess they say fuck my own health and sanity and just go crazy later. probably explains why so many people need psychiatric help and drugs. and probably explains the energy drink and coffee addictions.

we really should work to live and not live to work.

I agree.

We aren't worker bees. I have a LOT of hobbies I want to pursue. Plus, there is no point to have a job. There is nothing I want, no career lol
