I'm past the point of having any sympathy for anyone stupid enough to believe this is some kind of global conspiracy or hoax after a year and a half, countless deaths, hospitals being overrun, and society slowing to a crawl. I don't enjoy stories like this by any means, but at this point I just see it as Darwinism at work.

It's a shame because I very much still love the game, but I hate the power creep and several of the new summoning methods.

Synchro was great and sped things up a bit which was needed at the time. Xyz I wasn't crazy about, but whatever. Pendulum was just too much, and I don't even want to know what link is.

I do feel it's underrated among Miyazaki/Ghibli films. It's got a very interesting world that wasn't explored much, at least in the movie.

It's one of the things I most enjoy about games; finding things I'm not supposed to do.

That glitch doesn't work with everything; it won't work with heals thrown by hostages or chests. But it does work with Violette's dance steps, so you can gain crazy amounts of shield during her fight.

More fun with One Step from Eden glitches; any kind of potion that can be caught (healing, gaining shield, etc.) can have its effect triggered more than once if you rapidly move into and out of the space that it lands on while it's still active. Obviously this is easier to do while gameplay is slowed. I've managed to gain 320 shield from using Absorb just once.

I was thinking of rewatching Pumpkin Scissors. It's more along the lines of post-war, but still good. A lot of people say it's a mix of early episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist (military do-gooders) and Trigun (powerful nice guy protagonist with mysterious past).

Honestly I never got into any deckbuilders before Slay the Spire, but I do enjoy other roguelikes/roguelites.

I figured out the trick to that slowdown glitch too. It happens occasionally when you pause/unpause right as the game is returning to normal speed. If you keep rapidly pausing and unpausing at that time, there's a very good chance it'll happen.

This glitch also happens to make Saffron's Chrono style much easier. She can slow time to about 1/10th normal speed at will; do the glitch then and the battle becomes a cakewalk (at least as far as dodging and timing).

This may be a platform-specific glitch though; I'm playing in PS4.

One Step from Eden is really fun, but it has some glitches. Sometimes when I pause while the game is slowed down for one reason or another, the battle will resume at a glacial pace (like less than 1/100th normal speed), allowing me to move around and dispatch enemies at will. I'm actually typing this while holding down the shoot button waiting for the bullets to reach the boss.
