Lately I've been getting nothing but scrubs who talk shit and give up at halftime when we're down by one point. Really sucks because I've been trying to build up my rank.

That was also the reason I didn't win a Rocket League tournament last night; it was almost a lock, but the other team got a couple of points and my teammate blew a fuse and threw the game.

I don't deny the aspect that adjl described. As I said before, I like reaction videos for two reasons: a) they often understand and examine the work in ways that I hadn't before, and 2) I'm lonely af.

Just ran into a different glitch that froze the game. I'd be upset if I hadn't backed up my save before.

It's weird but Sony, Steam and Nintendo all decided to do a full 180 on their censorship policies in the past few years. Switch is the place to go for uncensored glory.

That seems like a weird question. I wasn't particularly interested in them, but I didn't question why others were.

Just remembered that I still haven't signed up to volunteer at a convention this weekend. I usually sign up early to get a good position.

It literally has nothing to do with save scumming.

Plain English. Lose progress in a regular game and you just rewind. Lose progress in a Mystery Dungeon game and you lose everything you had on you BEFORE you walked into the dungeon.

Any items you kept in storage (not on your person) are okay. But everything you decided to go INTO the dungeon with is gone forever. In this case it was my best equipment because it was an endgame dungeon.

Have you guys really never played a Mystery Dungeon game before? How does nobody get this?

Every Mystery Dungeon type game I've played is like this. A lot of the action roguelites that aren't turn based are exceptions.

Do you guys just not understand how roguelites work then? There's no other genre in which losing progress (by which I don't mean losing the whole save entirely) also means losing everything you have, even things you still had BEFORE you saved.

You equip yourself and start a dungeon run in an RPG and lose progress, you just go back to before you started the run, with all the equipment you had at the time. Sucks, but all you really lost is the time spent or items gained in the dungeon.

You equip yourself start a run in a roguelite and lose progress, you're sent back to base - except without ANY of the equipment you had on you. You've got to get yourself some brand new equipment and anything else you were carrying, because that's all gone.

So did you miss post #13 or is your reading comprehension just terrible?

Yes, but that requires an online subscription. If you don't have that then you're screwed.

I don't think that happens in any genre other than roguelites. Other games if you lose a save you just lose some progress. In roguelites it costs you everything you have, even if you had it before.

It turns out the problem was sort of my fault, or at least was caused by my actions. I was experimenting with a previously undiscovered glitch that I found at the time. It seems that saving and quitting while you have a certain item that's not supposed to be in your inventory, will crash your dungeon run. (Weirdly enough, it's okay outside of a dungeon.)

It's a very typical game of the genre; just with a good bit of ecchi stuff thrown in (most of it is skippable).

Omega Labyrinth Life. I'm playing on Switch.

I've never had a problem with the game before now (or even heard of anyone having this problem), and I've been playing for several months. It came out of nowhere.

I just went into a dungeon with my best equipment. Saved and quit, then backed up my save. Loaded the game up again... and stuck on the loading screen. Sat there for over an hour with no luck.

The fact that I backed up this screwed up save is the worst part. The only way to get the game to load is to let it fail loading, then reset - in which case I lose all the items I had on me.

*meant to say roguelites in the title, lest anyone have a fit.

That's deafeatist mentality, there's almost always a chance to comeback, too many people start to lose and give up when there's room to comeback, never stop fighting for victory.

I think you're underestimating what I mean when I say destroyed.

In team battles it's easy to tell which direction the wind's blowing, like if you have missing or crap teammates. It's more annoying when you're getting destroyed the whole game and the team refuses to forfeit. Just a waste of time.

I don't remember any specifics; I haven't watched his show since I was like ten.

It's impressive that he always remained so stoic and professional among the nightmare that is his show.
