Yeah, I'm remembering that one big pain in the ass of that game was having to actually destroy a specific card from their deck to even have a shot at winning the card.

For all the flaws of the game though, it's still not half as bad as Forbidden Memories on PS1. It was very archaic, the enemy *always* drew their best cards at the beginning of the duel, and many cards could only be obtained by purchasing for 999,999 star chips (and you only get up to five star chips per duel).

DotR really just took the good parts of Forbidden Memories; instant monster fusion and summoning without tributes.

I love that game so much. I generally don't even play RTS games but that one is an exception.

A while back I started playing a mod for it called Duelists of the Roses Redux. It's got uncensored card art, new enemy decks and fields, revamped deck leader abilities and faster leveling, and makes all cards obtainable.

I thought you meant like a one-time deal at first. So it's like a permanent Logan's Run type of thing?

^That show was really good as far as sitcoms go. I hate when people dismiss it as another generic Ugly Jerk Hot Wife show; Carrie was just as much of an asshole as Doug was and they pretty much took turns being the bad guy of the episode.

I love Bowsette, but when it comes to to things Nintendo "should" do, she's pretty far down on the list.

Sounds good, but keep in mind it's not the what it's priced at that matters, it's whether people are actually buying it at that price.

On a related note, has anyone tried "JK kara Yarinaosu Silver Plan?" Sort of similar to Remake; the MC was born into wealth and lives a self-centered, careless youth; eventually her family loses the money and all allies as a side effect, and with no skills she lives middle and old age in part time work and eventually squalor. As she's attacked by Truck-kun in the form of random douchebags attacking homeless, she wakes up in her old bed as a high schooler in the past. Having had plenty of time to reflect on her mistakes, she's genuinely determined to be a better, nicer and wiser person, but it's not so easy since even in the past her reputation has already been set in stone.

I'm going to visit my niece who's going to school in Detroit. I actually don't travel much; I've only been to like six different states and they were all adjacent to or very close to the state I live in now.

I'm kind of excited, but we really won't have much time to enjoy the journey since we're driving. (I wanted to fly, but my mom is opposed to flying.)

It's a very high quality beat em up. I played a little of it at a party and loved it, but I'm waiting for it to go down a little in price before I buy it.

It's been a while since I've played, but it has to do with that Stopwatch ability that slows time. After you use it, if you pause at just the right moment when time is returning to normal speed, the entire rest of the battle will continue in slow motion, unless the game speed is modified again by some other skill.

The glitch can also be done with abilities that freeze time entirely rather than slowing it, but instead of being slightly slowed down, the game slows to an absolute crawl. Seconds become minutes.

For Switch, physical games save storage space since they don't have to be installed. That's not really the case with other systems.

A lot of people want to have a future proof copy of their games for when (because they're definitely not going to last forever) the servers eventually go down. The problem with that is that these days the 1.0 release of many games are unfinished or just buggy and need of patches.

Personally I see that last point as a benefit in its own way. I enjoy finding and exploiting glitches in games, and by buying physical games I can stay on a glitchy 1.0 version of a game as long as I want.

I really liked One Step from Eden. Course I often used a glitch I found that would trivialize the game.

I actually never see that glitch talked about, so I'm not even sure if other people know about it.
