It is telling that he is celebrated for being "smart" so often. That's the major thing I keep hearing from his fanboys, how he talks so sharp. I've read a little bit into him and while he is thoroughly up on his jargon, so much of what he says seems to be an intellectualized version of the statement, "Don't give a fuck about anyone but yourself." I don't agree with how he is being hassled over his speech in Canada, but I think what he does to transgender people in particular is pigheaded and wrong. Regardless of his diction when he articulates that point. Also choosing words carefully helps a person be understood so I don't know why you'd hold that against him. It's kinda silly to suggest that because you can reframe some of his points into very simple reductive language that magically makes them wrong points. Yes he is advocating for men to feel safe taking more pride and responsibility but that is a novel idea in this culture and the thoroughness with which he articulates why and how is part of what makes his argument so compelling. I think it is telling that he got this pushback after he got some internet fame status, it feels much more about people wanting to push back against something or someone who became popular than a bunch of people listening to what he has said and thinking it's dumb.
