It might be that we'll have to wear mask in any building until the literal last vaccine or the 2/3 point at least. After that they'll probably ask anyone who still gets sick (the 5ish percent not covered) to wear a mask or isolate until a second, more effective round of vaccines th year after, and then still some masks in gatherings of more than 3 people until round 3 of vaccine where people will be back to normal mostly

Maybe a shot every year too

Poor attention span can usually be connected with their environment and how they are treated. It's definitely not an irreversible trait but you have to work at it. Or really your sister does cuz she seems to be the problem.

I mean this in the most well meaning way possible, but it sounds like your sister is just a bad dog owner. Whether it was a pitbull or a chihuahua the dog would end up being kind of a menace. This is kinda common with first time pitbull owners too because they raise them as they would their other dogs. Which can be fine if they raised their other dogs right. But when you're a yorkie owner and you raise your dog like shit the consequences are far less intense than when you raise a pitbull, or really any large dog, like shit. A lot of bad owners dont see the problem until something really terrible happens, and then most of the time they don't learn the right lesson from it.

I'm willing to work at it myself, but my little sister has epilepsy and he actually acts alright with her. Besides occasionally going in the house(she didn't finish training to always go outside him as a puppy) he'll behave almost perfectly for her and even sleeps in her bed fine because she always rewards him. She isn't always here and has epilepsy to boot so I'm going to try to tell her she needs to get him under control but it's really hard sometimes.

I liked him when he was around because he seemed like a cool guy who was just fucking around and we (seemingly?) Had some similar traits which for me included drug abuse of my prescription medication

Plus he gave me money once or twice maybe

Since then I've changed my views alot and became religious, but I dont hate him or anything. I could see why people don't like him though

Ahh okay. Well in general you always want to be careful with pitbulls because they tend to have hip and hind leg issues later in life.

The best way to keep him from jumping is to control the play time yourself. Don't let it get to the point that you have to wrestle with your dog. I know that sounds "less fun" but its 100% the best way to train your dog. If he starts getting too excited that's when you tell him to lie down for a bit. Maybe give him a toy after he's lied down for a while. Then continue doing that.

Some people swear by letting their dogs "fight it out" but I think its bullshit. Dont let that happen. Treat the situation the same way I explained if it were just you and the dog. Don't let it get to that point. If the old dogs are getting tired or annoyed then you have to make the pitbull settle down.

I know it's your sister's dog and theres only so much you can do but you should really tell her that the way she's raising it could lead to a lot of problems in the future.

He seemingly has a very poor attention span and won't lay for more than a minute due to my sister's coddling and petting him after he gets in fights or does something wrong. I can try but I'm not sure how he'll react to the contradiction.

He's the only dog in the house that doesn't directly listen and it's making me mad overtime. I have two good german shepherds and she just wanted a puppy.

I might ask my other sister too. She has had a lot of pits and loves them but she has her own house and is usually busy

Dealing with aggression is an entirely different matter than having a dog learn shake or something. Let's break it down:
Dog plays with other dogs (you're not giving attention)
Dog starts getting too rough with other dogs (this gets your attention)
You hip throw the dog and start playing with the dog

What do you think is firing off in the dog's brain at this point? You're basically showing the dog that his aggression earned your attention and he got to play with you due to it.

I meant that in general sometimes when I play with /pethim away from them I'll usually get him to the ground to keep him from jumping

I haven't done this when he's fighting with the others, I'm just wonder if it would be okay or a bad idea to take him off balance when he does in the future or just let the fight play out.

I have a pitbull and I've trained multiple dogs throughout my life. You're basically rewarding the pitbull for being aggressive. Which is bad obviously.

I've done a lot to train this dog to just the basic walk, sit, and sometimes

My sister sleeps with him and uses him as an emotional aid. She basically rewarded him after he chewed up 3+ grand in living room furniture

He's young and doesn't list and attacks the old dogs. A lot of times he won't listen and he'll either jump on me or get very aggressive and draw blood from the other dogs

So now to teach I kinda hip toss him to get him to the ground to play with him. He's a pit/bull mix and is very heavy and muscular so I'm finding my only way to play with him is to take him down if he won't listen or gets aggressive

I don't kick him to the floor or literally toss him or anything, just lightly use his weight against him to get him laying down, usually just a light hip check/toss/push will do it and I can keep him there to pet and play with him safely

Is this wrong? He's never yelped or been hurt but idk what else to do. Also if one of the fights go to far it seems like a good idea

He told me he couldn't do that again because it had bad side effects and that's it

I've had prescription from 16- 25/26 or so and I'm 27 now so it's not like I stopped taking it for several years.

Yea I've been hit for discussing and mentioning that also. It's a damn near miracle supplement for recovering addicts to soften withdrawl symptoms and aids in depression for a lot of people also. Disputing is almost always worthless even if you are 100% in the right.

Only time it is worth it is if you can super easily point out a mistake in a subject mods aren't personally invested in. Then you win them.

They did make a simple mistake though. Obviously if the product i bought was "federally illegal" it wouldn't be sold in smoke and vitamin shops all around America like the one I went too, or google would've shown something besides a potential ban two years ago (almost 3)
