Thats actually normal. I suppose your main roadblock was not expecting round two.

But the eight bosses beforehand never take too long that I feel like its an effort to redo them... Even if I did it in one go.

Divine skill spam, concoct spam and item spam makes the first phase easier. But this is more advice for those who do want to have a go at it.

The second phase is actually easier IMO.

Yes you are supposed to use saving Grace, and being level 65-70 with all characters. Its rude that there is no warning, but still its very doable.

Archmagus was the easiest because of reflect spam.
Looking up the youtube videos, I can imagine Warmaster and Starseer being way too annoying to fight if you cant outdamage them.

welp, took on the final boss.
It was quite a tough one, and it reminded me a lot of NeoExdeath/Kefka finalboss-type designs.
I am glad I took Alfyn and my main elementalists for the first phase (with Olberic as a simple beater), since it was a lot more difficult than the second phase.

Of course having Tressa runelording it up helped immensely against the second phase. As did Haanit and Therions divine skills. Ophilia was there to make sure we were all healed up to max.

Pity we went straight for the dark god though. At least the final boss of Bravely Default let his minion fight first.

I wanted to go to each place so I could fast travel back later, plus get some equipment. In the long run it wouldn't really change that the last few chapters would be pretty low level compared to my team.

That direwolf didn't get to do too much to me, it had some nasty tricks but I was able to break it before it could get off whatever fancy thing it was charging and killed it fairly quickly

Oh I dont mean that one, there's a special boss wolf later on

It came in handy loads against Primrose's final boss. The second one that is (didnt expect two bosses in a row!)

Apothecary's helpful against the status loving bosses mostly

I went with symmetry teams
Primrose/Tressa as Dancer/Merchant supporters
Ophilia and Cyrus as Cleric/Scholar magic attackers
Olberic/Therion/Haanit/Alfyn as the physical damage dealers (they switch around their jobs)

also storybosses were doable

except Miguel was an asshole, Mattias' antimagic field was unexpected and got some characters killed a lot and Ogre Eagle made me nervous with his toxic rainbow stuff

I do like the way they integrate the path actions into the final chapters.

Therions was amusing, Ophilia's was sweet and Alfyn technically traveled into the past!!!
