Amern to that. Just had to go through the hassle of moving my kids from my wife's insurance to mine, because my wife's new job's benefits explicitly state that gender-affirming care is not covered.

And even beyond gender-affirming care, insurance companies don't have any medical or ethical ground to stand on with their decisions. It's greed dictating whether people can receive healthcare. If they don't cover gender-affirming care, it has nothing to do with the morality of it.
