I could name five places off the top of my head with better landscapes, people, and food than Arizona or Utah. Theyre great places to visit, but nowhere near the top. To each their own, though.

You have to understand that my perspective is coming from someone whos spent more than half his life in a gloomy depressing country where it either rains or snows for 9 months of the year. Theres nothing nice to look at where Im from, just the ocean and a bunch of trees. So going to Phoenix for me is like I travelled to another dimension where everything is bright and vibrant.

Where to even begin? Ill do some bullet points.

-The women are absolutely stunning and Im almost always single so it works out in my favour
-Im really into cars and the car game here is insane. Six figure vehicles everywhere.
-Immaculate weather 9 months of the year
-Food selection is incredible
-Aside from maybe Southern Utah, best scenery in North America
-A million things to do. Could do a different activity every day for a year and still have new things to try or explore.
-People are incredibly kind, whereas the people in my hometown are all rude as hell and have a get out of my way attitude. So easy to make friends in the desert.
-Relatively cheap compared to where I live.

I could go on and on. Im truly zen when Im in Phoenix. Best city Ive ever been to. Just avoid July and August and youre set.

Nice, good to hear you enjoyed it. I used to go to a lot more games, but the only game I've been to in the past few years is one of the games in Albert Pujols' last home series before he retired.

Yeah Ill definitely try and go to another game the next time Im in AZ.

I have a weird relationship with baseball. I like the sport itself, but I watch so much hockey, football and basketball that baseball always seems to fall behind a bit. Doesnt help that the aforementioned three have much shorter regular seasons.

Arizona won 11-4 and basically dominated all but one inning.

Chase Field is absolutely massive. Ive been to NHL and NFL stadiums before, but I got lost like three times inside Chase. Its an absolute maze. Kind of surprised people call it one of the worst stadiums in the league, seemed pretty nice to me.

Baseball is way more fun in person than on TV. I kind of already knew this from going to minor league games, but its quite a different spectacle at the top level.

All in all another fantastic experience. I love Phoenix.

I used to think the same thing when I was a teenager in high school civics. Once all the old people pass away far right politics will die. But more and more young people have embraced hardcore conservatism and far right politics.

That doesnt mean people shouldnt fight for better and more accountable government, but the whole less old people means more leftist politics has always been a myth.

TBH I don't mind the congestion charge that much, it makes sense where it is. If I miss a traffic light, I'm probably waiting longer for a green light than I would be if I missed the tube and waited for the next one.

ULEZ is the one that pisses me off. It's unloved by pretty much everybody in London, however that's gettting political so I won't discuss that any further. There are two sides to it and everybody is correct of course, the world is a flower.

Fair enough. I dont know anything about ULEZ so I wont comment. In Canada we have the gas guzzler tax (usually reserved for cars like Hellcats, Lambos etc) but its a one time payment when you buy the car.

Shes averaging around 33 MPG right now after her big road trip.

At home where I tend to be a lead foot in sport mode the whole time she averages around 26.

If I grandma her in eco mode Ive gotten her as good as 38, but thats rare.

Duuuuude I'm also on a road trip! Less hours though. Yesterday took a 2h flight at 4 am, then drove for like 3 hours. Today did 8, 8 more tomorrow!
