Toilet paper is restocked in the grocery store. My neighbor's granddaughter just scored a 12-pack of the good big-roll stuff for $4.99.

I hope the scalpers have fun being stuck with thousands of dollars worth of TP they can't sell.

Broccoli with cheese, normally $4, marked down to $2, bought it for my neighbor because I don't much care for it.

Toilet paper was restocked but only an overpriced brand, didn't buy any.

Wartime conditions, National Guard mobilized, no martial law or ration cards yet. Maybe I'll start a Victory Garden like my grandparents in WWII.

We don't really realize how short life really is until we're old ourselves.
I'm still playing videogames and watch movies like I did as a kid.

My grandparents were old at 50.
My parents were old at 70
I'm 73 and not old at all... maybe when I reach my 90s?

And yes, I play videogames and watch movies. Not like as a kid, had to go to a theater to watch movies, we got a TV when I was 8, and had to go to an arcade to play the mechanical driving and shooting games.

And my videogaming reflects my real-life activities, flying, sports cars, martial arts and traditional weapons, golf.

Interesting! I'm 73, look 50, but they know me. Otherwise, just social pressure, I guess.

And I was also picking up stuff for a 73-year-old neighbor, who is frail. Does that also make me frail elderly by proxy? The staff at the store know that, too, and ask how she's doing.

The grocery store has restocked with toilet paper. The bad news, $2.99 for the skimpy little 4-pack you could usually get for 79. If you're desperate, I guess 75 a roll isn't all that bad. Oh, not profiteering, it's a premium brand, not the usual generic store brand.

I'm saving grocery ads, since we don't get Sears and Montgomery Ward catalogs any more. I'll need to buy a diaper pail to store the dirty till I can throw it in the dumpster..

I trust it won't get to that point, the hoarders should already have more than they can ever hope to scalp out of the trunk of their car, it'll be funny when they get stuck with more TP than they can use in a lifetime. I've already read about people getting stuck with tens of thousands of dollars in hand wipes they can't sell because of anti-profiteering laws and Ebay and Amazon cracking down on them.

I also read yesterday that plumbers are staying busy cleaning out drains from people flushing non-flushable stuff. Dumb!

Thanks, folks! You convinced me. My alarm is set. I'm going to the store at 6am just because I can. I can't afford to hoard, so I'll spend maybe $15 on soda crackers, canned chili, ramen, possibly a package of TP if there is any, bacon, and beans.

Since they are holding senior hours for me, it's rude not to acknowledge it, right?

I've been through polio scares, anthrax scares (love Alastair McLean's The Satan Bug and the George Maharis movie made from it), Swine Flu, was in Japan during the SARS epidemic, i'm just not real excited.

Latest CDC stats:

My chances of Wuhan Flu are 1 in 66,000.

My chances of seasonal flu are 1 in 6.

My chances of dying in a serious car accident are 1 in 8250

Probably car accidents are my biggest hazard, because of the number of 18-35 year-olds on the road.
