secret invasion is a different thing than secret wars, yeah. secret wars was the first super big crossover event in marvel comics history. don't know much about secret invasion but apparently that was a different crossover event that took place several decades later.

comics secret invasion was a big event by Brian Michael Bendis that involved a multi-year lead-in that revealed that skrulls had instilled themselves in the Avengers / Shield / governments across the world. the tv show is set to be much different, as the comics involved a lot of characters who have yet to be introduced in the MCU, most notably Spider-Woman.

I don't really like moon knight as a character. Most of his commonly considered "good" comic runs are super dark and if Disney goes that route I'd be kind of surprised. I also don't really think those runs are actually good. Maybe the Warren Ellis run, but that was extremely short/weird for the character, and if this sticks to his basic origin story it's basically another Iron Fist.

I know there are measurable and observable similarities in Marvel/Disney films in terms of pacing their acts/plot structure. But this is a movies thing and not necessarily a Marvel thing. I definitely agree that origins stories have been very formulaic (which could be an issue with the source material) and Shang Chi in particular felt extremely derivative. For the most part it's a complaint to disregard I think.

also, not to be that guy, but (Eternals climax spoilers) the celestial appearing, even just its head and fingers would've fucked up the ocean/planet way more than it actually did

and it begs the question of what exactly shield/sword is doing and why they didn't show up immediately

Finally watched Hawkeye. That was the best MCU entry since Endgame and the best Disney+ offering by a mile. They pretty much nailed everything that was great about the Fraction run and made it work in context with the established continuity. It was the first Disney + show that didn't feel stretched out or rushed. Bring on Young/New Avengers.

Eizen and Rokurou are basically Zoro and Sanji with swapped personalities and I'm okay with that
