I got the hell out of there, went to a local dentist, and it was like $260. Don't get taken advantage of.

Well I already signed it and it's happening tomorrow so RIP.

Good job showing an article about the great NHS system. Glad they using this to TRAIN surgeons. We should really move toward a system like theirs. Glad were on the same page.

I don't care where and how the automation happens first. I just care that it happens. This is a great precedent because once the technology is mass produced it's just a matter of time before it disrupts the entire industry.

Or the top 0.1% will just buy up all the technology and hoard all the profit generated by it

I live on 55% of my net income and if I continue at this level I will be able to retire by age 39.

How much do you expect to have by then? Plan to live frugally the rest of your life or is this a bet on bitcoin?

That plan is assuming all of my crypto investments go to zero, I don't factor them in my retirement plans.

I could have ~$800,000 by 39 assuming no promotions/raises, which would allow me to withdraw roughly $30,000 annually.

I could always continue working past 39 if I wanted to increase my passive income. Tax free growth sees 7% after inflation, so doubling from $800K would only take a few additional years.

Then when I was about 9 I accidentally stumbled on a cartoon porn of The Simpsons. I was grossed out but it was like a lightbulb moment for me. That's when I discovered what the penis was for.

Save my money, and use it to start my own business, start investing in real estate or flipping ****, etc

So instead of getting tax free PLUS employer matching money and investing it in mutual funds that will double every 8-12 years and provide a massive nest egg for retirement you plan on taking out taxed money to throw it at risky bets and potentially lose everything.

Let's say you're in the 22% marginal tax bracket. You can either receive a dollar + the employer match for another $1 and invest it in a mutual fund where it will grow to $30 adjusted for inflation in 40 years, or you can take it out taxed and receive a measly 78 cents.

Because I'm curious if SUVs save any lives rather than just take them

SUVs are more dangerous generally speaking, I read that it's better for children to get hit by SUVs/vans because their front is flatter so it's like getting hit by a wall, whereas when a kid gets hit by a sedan it's like a giant baseball bat that smacks them in the neck/head.

That was from some random drivers ed VHS though so it's probably outdated

Saw the first season and liked it. Main criticism was that they did include a literal gay guy as one of the guys they helped out, which seemed to be against the spirit of the original show, although I get the coming out story was important for them. Also I thought it was funny how they seemed to be trying to be fairly family friendly overall...and then casually dropped weed jokes.

The spirit of the original show was "look how BIZARRE these gay guys are isn't this wild" because back then gays were still a "novelty." I like that they're moving away from that.

Fucking soccer moms are to blame for this.

Yup.

Women love SUVs for several reasons:

1. They think they are safer (this is false, they are in fact more dangerous than sedans)

2. They like that they are higher off the ground, because women are manlets and being so high off the ground is a novelty for them

3. They enjoy the extra space so they can fit all of their shopping bags and crotch spawn

4. SUVs are bigger, which means they are an extremely conspicuous form of consumption, EVERYONE will notice Carol's new white Chevy Equinox

5. SUVs are associated with luxury. Men are primarily concerned with functionality and performance because they are hunters, women care about having a miniature house on wheels because they are gatherers that live in the nest and collect colorful berries. When a dumb man has money to blow he buys a new bitchin V8 Dodge Charger, when a dumb woman has money to blow she throws it all away on some stupid Lexus luxury vehicle

Women are the biggest consumers and their economic influence is growing, it's no wonder the big stupid SUV market is red hot these days.

Not everyone has that. And don't say, "they should have worked harder", because that doesn't matter either. CEO's sit on their asses and play golf while people that make 1/50th of the money do the actual labor. I'm not saying that they don't deserve to be paid, but when you make that kind of money, it's easy to forget what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck.

Lmao any schmuck with a GED could get a dumbass job that could provide for a family of four back in the day, all they had to do was throw a little bit of money in a 401k and pay their mortgage and not carry a credit card balance and they could have ended up as millionaires by now.

Their next door neighbors just redid their kitchen so now they have to keep up, that's another $15,000 expense right there.
