hello favorite song in the contest!!! and in the entire series!!!!! i legit listened to valkyrie for the first time on complete accident and didnt actually know it so i thought "holy SHIT i have been sleeping on ace combat 7 for too long time to listen to it" and then i looked and it was actually Final Fantasy Flippin 7 like what the fuck. all this song is missing is the bombastic choir and it's on par with megalith/unsung war/gracemeria (not zero tho lol zero is an ethereal being compared to "Music") and ngl it's better than at least megalith anyway

it's prob going to lose real bad here but i love eyes on me a lot as well so it won't be too terrible but yeah this is actually the only song I feel really strongly about in the contest so yup

what the FUCK this remix is amazing, i was totally expecting the vote lava dome if four fiends wasn't up to snuff and I was kinda right, it's good but far inferior to the original so lava dome would've taken it otherwise but OOPS HOT NEW DISCOVERY

really pretty rendition of aerith here somehow wins out, normally i'm not crazy over this kinda stuff without context but... idk I just feel it with this one even without knowing. it's a sort of sweet nostalgia that you just "know" and I like that a lot!! (oh boy people that dont partake in vgmc will see all my dumb rambling fuck lmao))) streets of rabanastre does THE SAME THING and does it with cool reverby fake instruments oh nooooooooooo sorry aerith.... will definitely be happy if either of these two win
