one guy, PoundGarden, had some sort of traumatic experience involving a dog that may or may not have been a pit bull (at least, I'm assuming they didn't do a DNA test on it; without which you can't actually know the breed).

then he got it in his head that his experience was extrapolatable somehow, so he started frothing at the mouth about how all pitbulls are ticking time bombs or whatever. and because people on here love biological essentialism, it became trendy.

all this despite the complete absence of reliable data which suggests that:
1. pitbulls actually attack people more commonly than other dogs
2. pitbull attacks actually result in serious or lethal injury more commonly than attacks by other dogs

The problem in this country is you shift all the blame on the police and define the suspect (who is resisting and fighting) as a victim. You put criminals on pedestals.

No cop I know and no good cop in general would defend Chauvins actions that day.

The next wave of protests are inevitable because people are played by the media when race had nothing to do with it and will continue to whine about nonexistent circumstances. You cant even prove Chauvin was racist. Just made a bad decision that day and race couldnt be correlated.

I already told you the very small amount of incidents being protested is doesnt represent the thousands of incidents police deal with the public that end well. You cant even correlate racism to these incidents but want to believe so.

The country doesnt have a police problem. It has a problem with more people being armed with guns and criminals resisting arrest and putting themselves in a bad situation. Cops have a job to do. Just listen, dont physically fight us, give ID when necessary, and move along.

Even George Floyd would be alive today if he hadn't been tripping on powerful drugs and resisted getting in the back of the patrol car when arrested. They had to remove him from the car. You guys dont even understand.

worth noting that the wishy washy liberal garbage stuff actively detracts from what could have been some of the best-written characters.

almost paradoxically, it's also much more black-and-white than TLA with regards to its moral/ethical stances, and in that sense it really detracts from the universe.

there are good things about it. I think the passage of time between shows was portrayed well. for the most part.

while it's not nearly as good as TLA, I think it has higher highs

The US has higher rates of police killings than any other first world country, citizens here have fewer rights when interacting with the police than other countries, and we just had one of the biggest mass protests in history over the system of policing in America.

You claim to be one of the good cops, but refuse to recognize what we have as the broken mess it is. Whether the goal is defunding, reform, total abolition, or some other idea, things need to change, or the next wave of protests is gonna put last year's to shame.

Should need a license and mandatory dog training and an expensive price tag to be allowed to own a pitbull, and any owner without proper paperwork is given either a major fine or prison time.

I think the breed should be banned from public ownership, but with the above it would at least help. That would at least keep a fair amount of the kinda folks who breed the breed for fighting and such away.

Also, almost every fatal dog attack was from a pit or pit mix, with some rottweilers thrown in there

i'm saying that "cultural diversity" IS a characteristic of the US, meaning that its not a invalid comment in itself, and "too many black people" isn't an accurate statement, unless you are suggesting that those people would also suggest that gun violence is more problematic in places which have higher proportions of black people (Which isn't the case, as their are many African nations with lower gun violence numbers than the US).

It's incredibly unlikely in all honest. The rest of the world had hundreds of years to get their shit together before the US entered the world stage. But they failed. Hard.

We on the other hand brought the opportunity for peace, innovation, wealth and QoL improvements to the world unheard throughout all of human history. Everyones lives are objectively better.

All of this within a relatively sort period of time.

this would be an interesting thesis statement. it could still use some clarifying, but it could work.

however, you would still need to actually demonstrate, with a whole lot of evidence and commentary, that it was true.
