oh god, i just remember another(i think) Klan episode where a fairly high ranking klan member in his area finds out on jerry his son got head from a black girl.

the look on his face was priceless, like he was so mad he was gonna explode.

One of my favorite moments was when jerry had some klan members on, and since jerry is jewish he decided to host from the upper levels of his audience rather than on the stage or front row.

the klan member keeps on yelling at jerry "hey JEW BOY GET DOWN HERE" and other things, and then at one point jerry asks him what the first amendment means, and the klan guy gives him his interpretation of the first amendment, which isnt the actual meaning of it.

See, I enjoy jerry now, but yeah it used to be a show about actual issues. sometime in the mid-late 90s it changed and turned into a show where most episodes are the same with cheating and stuff like that.

I need to ask my managers for more of a rundown on how to phrase it when I feel like I have to do it. However its been relayed to me before in training and on the job that if I feel I have to that decision is final, and the manager will back me up.

So the other day I had this guy probably in his 40s come to me and buy a big handle of jamesons. Nothing seemed odd until the man couldn't for the life of him figure out how to use his card.

he first tried inserting his chip not in its correct slot but where the pin pad connects to the thing that bolts it to the desk...a lot of people try to insert it in there, but most realize after a few seconds and see where it actually goes. this man was struggling for like 30 seconds before i basically guided his hand to the correct spot.

Then, when his card is in there, it asks him to confirm the total, "Total XX.XX. YES NO" He hits no....which means it tells him to take out his card. I am confused, but I tell him to reinsert it. Again, he hits "NO" and again it rejects his card. Each time he hit no, he hit it as if he knew what option he wanted and didnt hesitate.

So then I ask him to reinsert it, and he says "Hey! whats going on here" and I reply with "you have to hit yes, Its asking for your total" and he looks confused, so I hit it for him, and we're all good.

But then as I hand him his reciept I get a huge whiff of alcohol on his breath I didnt notice before. Seeing as he isnt 80 years old his pin pad troubles combined with his alcohol breath i coulda denied him. But I realized too late, He already paid, bag in hand.

I need to be more assertive in this regard.

However about confirming the total two days ago I had a customer who looked very much like jay leno, including outfit https://i.pinimg.com/originals/95/8f/13/958f13fd5be00fb761ac3afb6ccc9b96.jpg

But he was different enough to where i knew it wasnt actually jay, but he was making jokes like jay would, saying

"confirm total? yes? no? why even give the option i mean if i hit no i just cant get my stuff"

not exact words but he sounded like jay leno. he even had a large chin. when he left I was dumbfounded and confused, wondering if I actually waited on the man himself, in a random suburb nowhere near california or any comedy clubs.

that gap youre referencing doesnt mean much. some coins arent struck 100% center but unless its super distressed it isnt worth much.

I'd say step 1 would be to get a scale and weigh the coin. a 1990 zinc penny should weigh 2.5 grams +/- a little for how worn it is or maybe its rolled thick, but 2.5g is the standard.

if it weighs 2.5g or about you know its a zinc penny.

My thoughts are somebody found a way to remove the copper outer layer without damaging the coin leaving just the zinc underneath, which is silver.

here is a small guide to fancy serial numbers. thats not all to look for but thats the most basic:

http://www.coolserialnumbers.com/FancySerialNumbers.aspx

I...dont know what that penny is. The only silver penny made is the 1943 steel wheat cent, because copper was needed for WWII. Those arent super rare or valuable unless in fantastic condition but they are neat.

as for your penny I have no idea man. I'd post about it on a dedicated coin forum such as https://www.cointalk.com/forums/

though ive never been there i know people talk about it.

A star note is indicated by a star next to the serial number. It means its original bill came out wrong and it is its replacement. You can check how rare it is by going to that site above. If mine was from a print run of 150 or 100k 50-100 bucks resale wouldnt be out of the question. As is a print run of 3.2 million...doesnt matter. Worth a dollar.

Without seeing the penny it could be the thin copper layer wore off or was scratched off because under the copper is silver colored zinc.

The quarter is 90% silver worth about 3 bucks. Keep it as a silver investment. You can find silver in circulated change in the following denoms: quarters and dimes...1964 and prior. Nickels 1943-45, and half dollars until 1970.

I am the king of the dollar.

Anyways, as always looking for errors, miscuts, older bills and fancy serial numbers. I looked through a few bills in the first strap so far and already found a star note. This one isnt rare but it was so close to being the rarest star note ive ever found

http://www.mycurrencycollection.com/reference/star-notes/lookup/1/2013/f03671522*

ill keep going on with it later on. i like to take my time going through bills when im at home because i can shoot through hundreds of ones in minutes.

Looking it up under 10% of soccer matches end in 0-0, but it is of course much higher than 0-0 regulation games in baseball, football or hockey.

But even so, a 0-0 tie can have a game with great goalkeeping and defense, to where you are on the edge of your seat all game. There isnt much scoring, thats just how the sport is, but each goal carries a lot more weight.

I don't feel like soccer needs to evolve because any attempt to artificially inject scoring would feel wrong.

I remember a game the local team here played in where they won 6-5, coming back from 5-3 down in the last 5 minutes. It was crazy, but the game feels tainted slightly because defense for both teams was atrocious. more goals, yes, but since defenses were both terrible it doesnt feel as awesome as it should.

128 of the lowest ranked teams in fifa as of 2018

first, a group stage wherein there are 16 groups with 8 teams apiece playing twice to cut it down to 64

then those 64 teams cut into 16 groups of 4 playing eachother twice to cut it down to 32

Then another group stage taking those 32 teams in 8 groups of 4 playing eachother twice to get down to 16

then three rounds of two legged ties until 2 teams remain, then a one game final.

I think this is a little ambitious with 128 teams. I can choose all the way from 74(south africa) to 206, which has several teams ranked jointly for last: tonga, somalia, eritrea, anguilla, turks and caicos islands.

perhaps i should have made it just 32 of the worst minnows. idk. i need to physically add 128 teams one by one then we'll see how this goes.

This hits me sometimes because, and i dont mean to sound like a snob, listening to somewhat obscure music makes this sweeter, i feel. i dont know.

So yesterday I was walking in the city, and i am talking to my best friend. Then, out of nowhere a car drives past, probably at 15-20 mph on a bridge also made buy the brooklyn bridge guy. anyways, i hear a drum beat out of the corner of my ear, and I say to my friend, "uhh..." and just start sprinting. No time to explain, I just ran, because, I had to hear more.

I want to say the song was "In the Absence of Strong Evidence to the Contrary, One May Step Out of the Way of the Charging Bull," by one of my favorite bands of all time, math rock pioneers Don Caballero. Incidentally they hail from the city I am from as well.

https://tinyurl.com/yc9wz4x8

So, as soon as i heard what i think was the drum beat near the end, i ran. Because I had to know who was playing this, and since I was wearing their t-shirt at the time as well, I had to represent.

I sprinted full on, and actually did catch up to the car at a red light, and listened for a few seconds. Then, I shouted "Don Cab for life" and I don't know if they heard me, or understood me, or what, and it probably looked weird, i felt like I had to say something.

The rest of the night I was questioning if I ever even heard Don Cab from that car that evening.
