| apolloooo 02/21/18 8:05:01 AM #47 | just got to crow's backstory. and this is one of those moments that it reminded me why i love the series. it's just a grounded event, basic economy and predatory business practice/political manipulation, coupled with some fantasy background ( it's just brilliant, brilliant writing and these are themes that are never brought up in JRPGs or even RPGs in general. the writing and the world are relatable for the most part, and the parts thats made up are done tastefully and clever enough with enough believable made up reality that totally hold the suspension of disbelief. at one side you got totally grounded stuff like industrial revolution, class warfare, politics and the grey and grey morality of war. on the other side, you got mechs and dragons and device the size of a phone that can summon fireballs and glaciers and shit and it works. @Leanaunfurled @Super_Slash @Rika_Furude ( sorry if i spoil you anything >__>) @FF_Redux --- http://i.imgtc.com/iJyp6bF.png http://i.imgtc.com/ZBw36Qh.png Thanks for the peeps that made the pics <3 if i make typos it means i am on phone |

Gothic 3 was horribly optimized My friend has gtx 960 and i3 he is running 1080p 60 FPS fine, only need to disable volumetric fog because it adds little but tanks performance. No open world design for the last 15 years since gothic 2 has even top the genius design and worldbuidling of gothic 1/2 Gothic 1 and 2 is the apex of open world action rpg. Beside horrible control and clunky UI, nothing has beaten it, and i dont nothing anything ever will beat gothic. Risen 1 is excellent. 8.5/10 at least, with weak 3rd act. Risen 2 and 3 are crap. ELEX is 7.5 - 8 it got alot of things right, great quest design but really the scope of the world are just too large to make it tightly focused, dense and like gothic 1/2 risen 1. On PC they have sold 180k on steam alone plus gog probably are at least 1/4 of it.
