Blastoise, the Legendary Birds, Mew, Ivysaur or Vensaur, Snorlax, Eevee, Gyarados, Alakazam, Ditto, Meowth, etc. could easily be stronger than the next character from anything else. But unfortunately, it's there and it just so felt limiting at every stage of the game. Even when you get the Master Sword, it still had a needless charging mechanic.
