The problem with the Labyrinth is you have to be super end game to be able to do anything past the first floor most of the time. --- |

The only thing I've been saying from the start is that the huge outburst of memes with him have made thousands and thousands of people want him to actually be playable rather than an AT when these numbers just did not exist before. I'm not saying Waluigi wasn't requested at all, all I'm saying is that this outburst is making it seem like there was absolutely no question that he was by far the most requested character and the fact that he's not playable is the travesty of the year. --- |

Rool 25 Ridley 16 Decidueye 14 Bandana Dee 14 Isaac 14 Bomberman 13 Waluigi 12 Rex / Pyra 9 Dixie 9 Banjo Kazooie 8 Geno 7 Captain Toad 7 Lyn 6 Note: There might be a couple others with slightly higher scores than the Geno/Toad group but nothing stood out that much. Anyways, this illustrates my point fairly well. Waluigi does not make the top 5 and he even loses out to BOMBERMAN who was also confirmed as an assist trophy. Where's all the people whining about him not being playable? Also I'm glad to see my boy Bandana Dee doing well among the fans! --- |

I thought it was pretty clear that I was insinuating that he wasn't among the MOST talked about characters or MOST wanted. I'm talking like top 3 here. Sure Waluigi could make top 10 or I could even see an argument for top 5 but to say that he was by far and away the most wanted Newcomer for Smash 5 is completely wrong. And that's what I'm getting at. By how much people are out there crying and posting tons of memes about him, you'd think that nearly everyone wanted him as a newcomer before this whole Waluigi meme thing started gathering steam and that's really not the case. I don't know why my stance here is so hard to understand. Are we going to have as huge outcries if King K Rool doesn't make it in, or if Rex / Pyra combo doesn't happen? Are we going to get K Rool memes that take over the internet? The answer is no because they aren't as meme worthy. Even though if I asked 100 people BEFORE smash 5 was announced, you can be sure both of those characters would be on more people's requested list than Waluigi. TL:DR - I'm not saying he's not popular enough. I'm saying that the meme has pushed his requested levels ten fold of what they were before he was announced as an assist trophy again. --- |
