Probably should add AEW to that list.

Oops, simply forgot to mention it. It's already on there. Out of all four AEW champs in history...

41) Kenny Omega - 665 days
67) Chris Jericho - 401 days
77) Jon Moxley - 361 days
126) Adam Page - 126 days

And for the secret titles...

WWE's The Man: Roman Reigns, having been champion for a record-setting 502 days and counting
AEW's The Man: Adam Page, whose run as The Man matches his current run as AEW Champion. This was originally The Man championship on Impact, before Kenny Omega brought it to AEW in 2021

One file I keep up with on my down time once every blue moon is the massive combined days as World Heavyweight Champion across all major promotions over the past several decades. Just off the top of my head, that includes the following...

WWE Championship
World Heavyweight Championship (WWE)
WWE Universal Championship
WCW World Heavyweight Championship
WCW International World Heavyweight Championship (The "Big Gold Belt")
NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship
Ring of Honor World Championship
GFW Global Championship
Impact World Championship
AWA World Heavyweight Championship
IWGP Heavyweight Championship
IWGP World Heavyweight Championship
AEW World Heavyweight Championship

Across all of these promotions, a combined 209 wrestlers have won at least one world title, and here's the combined top 10 days as of April 8, 2022...

1) Verne Gagne - 4677 days
2) Bruno Sammartino - 4040 days
3) Ric Flair - 3785 days
4) Lou Thesz - 3749 days
5) Hulk Hogan - 3362 days
6) Nick Bockwinkel - 2990 days
7) Brock Lesnar - 2140 days
8) Bob Backlund - 2138 days
9) Nick Aldis - 1984 days
10) Kazuchika Okada - 1884 days

If I take out GFW, then Aldis leaves the top 10 and Harley Race takes the #10 spot.

At the moment, Roman Reigns sits pretty at #35 with a combined 773 days; with two world titles in his possession, only one can imagine how far up he jumps up the list collecting 2x EXP >_>

We can't be upset as unc fans. This season basically gave us so much. We didn't get the cherry on top, but still a great season.

This, basically. We were supposed to be one and done. Hell, after that loss to Duke in February, some thought we wouldn't make the tournament.

It stings a little that we were that close, and that's expected. But it provides drive and purpose for a shot at redemption next season.

Great effort Heels.

Wrestlemania Main Event Winners in increments of every 10 years...

1, 11, 21, 31 - Hogan, Mr. T, LT, Batista, Rollins. With the exception of Rollins (maybe later possibly), this group is more reserved for celebrity like status. Even Batista's win was at a Hollywood-themed Mania

2, 12, 22, 32 - Hogan, HBK, Cena, Reigns. All four men here were given the torch to lead the federation at one point in their career

3, 13, 23, 33 - Hogan, Taker, Cena, Reigns. See above

4, 14, 24, 34 - Savage, Austin, Taker, Lesnar. See above. Kinda. Also another iconic four.

5, 15, 25, 35 - Hogan, Austin, HHH, Becky. Another same as above, including Becky representing the first woman to win a Wrestlemania ME

6, 16, 26, 36 - Warrior, HHH, Taker (twice), McIntyre. In three cases, you have WWE going in a new direction; two new champs and the first heel to win the Wrestlemania main event. There's also Taker, just because.

7, 17, 27, 37 - Hogan, Austin, Miz, Belair, Reigns. Not too much I can think of for this group. Belair is revolutionary for being the first female of color to win a WM main event, while Hogan, Austin, and Reigns were the top of the mountain. Miz was just... Miz.

8, 18, 28, 38 - Hogan, HHH, Rock, Austin, Reigns. Nearly the pinnacle of top tier superstars in WWE history. Only thing missing is Cena

9, 19, 29 - Hogan, Lesnar, Cena. Three powerhouses who in their primes hardly lost clean.

10, 20, 30 - Bret Hart, Benoit, Bryan. Three faces who won with the crowds, but by the time the year came to an end, WWE had put the belt on someone else and left them doing something irrelevant to the title picture

Moss winning it is fine. It's been proven that most ARMBAR winners are either...

A) Really large men
or
B) Midcarders at best

Moss is a former 24/7 champion who COULD get a throwaway tag title run with Corbin, but otherwise his sole purpose is bad jokes

The last two Worst Picture winners I had never heard of until they were announced as nominees. No one outside extreme politics has heard of Absolute Proof and as stated above me, hardly anyone's watched Diana the Musical.

They're definitely liberal, that's for certain. Fahrenheit 9/11, Fahrenheit 11/9 and Death of a Nation all grabbed Razzies for Worst Acting when they're documentaries, and a movie slandering Hilary Clinton won Worst Picture in 2016.

I mean, think about it. Since 2015, the following Wrestlemania main events have happened...

31 - Lesnar vs Reigns (featuring Seth Rollins)
32 - HHH vs Reigns
33 - Taker vs Reigns
34 - Lesnar vs Reigns II
35 - Becky vs Rousey vs Charlotte. Reigns took time off due to leukemia and returned just in time for a midcard feud with McIntyre instead
36 - Lesnar vs McIntyre. Reigns took time off right at the start of the pandemic
37 - Reigns vs Edge vs Bryan
38 - Lesnar vs Reigns III

They could easily have Roman lined up to headline a few more Wrestlemanias

But also while it's on my mind, WWE has 2 more shows to add any remaining matches to a card that currently has 11 bouts on a 2-night schedule, and they've decided to put the IC title match on SD, as well as the ARMBAR featuring the US champion.

Night 1
Rousey vs Charlotte
Becky vs Bianca
McIntyre vs Corbin
Usos vs Nakamura and Boogs
Miz and Logan Paul vs Mysterios
Austin on the Kevin Owens Show

Night 2
Reigns vs Lesnar
Edge vs Styles
RK-BRO vs Street Profits vs Alpha Academy
McAfee vs Theory
Zelina/Carmella vs Sasha/Naomi vs Ripley/Liv vs Natalya/Baszler
Zayn vs Knoxville

Of course there's Rollins still trying to get on the card, plus rumors that Omos might get a match too. Finally, New Day (minus Big E) could face Sheamus and friends

Now that I'm awake...

It's no secret that the ARMBAR is just a battle royal for a trophy and nothing more. In fact, this discussion occurred last year, but here's what we know...

ARMBAR winners
2014 - Cesaro. A big deal at first, not only because he was the first, but also because he scoop-slammed Big Show to win it. We thought a push was gonna happen, especially with brief ties to Paul Heyman, but all we ended up getting was tag team specialist Cesaro until his departure this year

2015 - Big Show. Kinda fitting, due to being the (kinda) successor to Andre the Giant. Wouldn't do anything else relevant afterwards, though to be fair, he didn't need to at this point of his career.

2016 - Corbin. One of two ARMBAR winners still active on today's roster, his claim to fame has been one entirely forgettable US title run, a King of the Ring, and 5 different gimmick names (Baron, Constable, King, Sad, and Happy)

2017 - Mojo. So forgettable that the guy Mojo eliminated to win said ARMBAR was WWE Champion a month later, while he himself was delegated to Main Event tapings. Only briefly relevant once due to Gronkowski; a few 24/7 reigns later, Mojo was gone.

2018 - Matt Hardy. Only memorable for setting up the tag team with Bray Wyatt. A tag title run followed, and then next thing we know, Matt is back with Jeff for one briefly forgettable run. Finally, Matt gets conchairto'd and sent off to AEW.

2019 - Braun Strowman. Strowman added this to his list of Battle Royals won, and found himself main eventing with Seth Rollins later down the road. Would finally get a world title run in 2020, though that was mainly because of Covid.

2021 - Jey Uso. Someone here said it perfectly last year. Jey Uso went from being Roman Reigns' right hand man, to being Roman Reigns' right hand man with a trophy. It's reasonable; Jey did pretty well for himself aligning with Reigns and while a mostly meaningless accomplishment, the ARMBAR is nevertheless an accomplishment.

I potentially see one of four winners in this year's group: Balor, Priest, R Truth, and Jinder. Balor and Priest don't need it, considering they're already fighting over a belt. Jinder is the guy WWE continues to make us pay attention to with failing results.

So this year, I say fuck it: Give the trophy to R Truth. He already spent the last 3 years making one irrelevant title something, why not another?

Wikipedia did say RKBro vs TBA, so I assumed it'd at least be the Profits. But a 3 way works too.

ARMBAR was assumed. Women's Royal could still work, but only if they borrow from NXT and UK. Balor and Priest is a given. Rollins vs Rhodes, obviously depends on the signing.

99 - FF8 vs Spyro 2 - Replace Spyro 2 with Smash 64 and you have a great final
2003 - Prince of Persia vs KOTOR - Wind Waker, Fire Emblem, F-Zero GX, and Skies of Arcadia: Legends are all better options than PoP
2006 - Kingdom Hearts 2 vs Okami - Twilight Princess should be here
2008 - Brawl vs Persona 4 - I don't like Brawl, but it's a reasonable final
2013 - Link Between Worlds vs Last of Us - Great final
2015 - Rocket League vs Bloodborne - Get RL outta here
2016 - Pokmon Sun/Moon vs Dark Souls 3 - Yuck.
2017 - Mario Odyssey vs Breath of the Wild - Persona 5 vs BotW is the final we deserved
2019 - AI vs Disco Elysium - Two great story-driven games in a weak year. I'm cool with it.

Also, OoT and Majora should've made the '98 and '00 finals respectively.

Breakdown by year...

99 - Agreed. Smash 64 got stunned by Spyro 2 in the semis
2003 - Wind Waker was top seed and lost to Prince. Fire Emblem lost to Disgaea. F Zero GX lost to Jak 2, and Skies of Arcadia was released first in 2000 (where it reached Elite Eight)
2006 - Guitar Hero 2 took down Twilight Princess in the elite eight.
2008 - Reasonable. I honestly wanted Fallout 3 vs Persona 4
2013 - Also reasonable, but I wanted Link vs Revengeance
2015 - Should've been Witcher 3 vs Bloodborne. Thanks a lot Life is Strange.
2016 - Indeed. Pokmon S/M upset Uncharted 4
2017 - BotW vs Persona 5 was a semifinal match at least
2019 - Should've been Resident Evil 2 vs Three Houses

98 was a weird one, as OoT was upset by 1080 Snowboarding in round two. Majora's Mask lost to Pokmon GSC in the semis so that wasn't too bad

Agreed and thanks! Most final twos are legit correct in my eyes. Looking at all 26, in my opinion...

Correct Final
96 - Mario 64 vs Mario RPG
97 - FF7 vs Symphony of the Night
98 - FFT vs Pokmon RBY
2000 - Pokmon GSC vs FF9
2001 - FFX vs Melee
2002 - Metroid Prime vs Kingdom Hearts
2004 - Metal Gear Solid 3 vs Half-Life 2
2005 - RE4 vs DMC3
2007 - Mario Galaxy vs Bioshock
2009 - Uncharted 2 vs Arkham Asylum
2010 - Mario Galaxy 2 vs Mass Effect 2
2011 - Uncharted 3 vs Portal 2
2012 - Borderlands 2 vs Xenoblade Chronicles
2014 - Smash Wii U vs Stick of Truth
2018 - Smash Ultimate vs God of War
2020 - FF7 Remake vs Hades
2021 - Metroid Dread vs RE Village

The Rest, while mostly good, I disagreed with
99 - FF8 vs Spyro 2

Big Bob posted...
I'm not doing the calculations, but just glancing at the bracket, shouldn't Bowser's Fury and Rift Apart be 3 and 4?

Rift Apart would've had 33.41% against Dread based on XStats

Bowser's Fury would've had 35.62%

And while I'm too lazy to do X-Stats...

Metroid Dread - 50%
Resident Evil Village - 36.2%
Psychonauts 2 - 35.8%
Ys IX - 35.8%

Well done Ys

Best of this decade so far?

The Championship bout started close, but halfway through there would be zero doubt that Samus had it in the bag. Resident Evil Village is a great game, but Metroid Dread delivered a convincing performance to win 30-17 and become Board 8's 2021 Game of the Year! Let's take a look at the champion wall!

(from 1996 to 2021)
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Pokemon RBY
Spyro 2
Pokemon GSC
Super Smash Bros Melee
Metroid Prime
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Metal Gear Solid 3
Resident Evil 4
Okami
Super Mario Galaxy
Persona 4
Uncharted 2
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Portal 2
Xenoblade Chronicles
Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Super Smash Bros for Wii U
Rocket League
Dark Souls III
Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Super Smash Bros Ultimate
Disco Elysium
Hades
Metroid Dread

2021 Ultimate Loser: Dread > Village > Ratchet > Omori > Ace Attorney > Warioware > Monster Hunter Rise

Annnnd that's a wrap! Thank you everyone for taking part!
