Supporting the president is hating your country. LOL. Okay yeah, let's NOT support the president and hope he fails so that everyone gets fucked. Real good logic.

If your house has a roach problem, you don't hope the whole house burns to the ground just to get rid of the roaches.

Yeah, your country is doing really great with this President ...

What exactly makes our president a white supremacist?

  • Suppressing voting among mostly non-white voters.
  • Seperating brown kids from their families and throwing them into concentration camps
  • Repeated racial slurs, insults, accusations etc against minorities.
  • Repeatedly sharing anti-minority rethoric and videos through social media.
  • Birther-gate.
  • Demanding the death penalty against the Central Park kids, even though they were innocent.
  • Labeling BLM protestors as 'Antifa', and then going on trying to designate Antifa as a terrorist organisation.
  • Meanwhile, calling Nazis 'some very fine people'.
  • Muslim-ban
Etc etc.

That's why it isn't justice...

People looking for revenge on the internet don't care about truth, let alone doing thorough and good-faith investigations.

Hence the 'Sometimes it is'.

Again, it depends on a number of factors, but sometimes it good that there's cameras and evidence and we see people outed, publicly, for what they are. Think of the countless 'Karens' we have seen, losing their shit over being asked to wear a mask, calling the cops on black people, attacking people for speaking Spanish, etc etc.

Yeah, just film it, throw it online, show them for what they are.

The cult seems fine with everything he says and does. They swallow it all up, and parrot it.

They won't turn on him. Maybe years from now, when there's the clarity of hindsight. Although TBH, I doubt it.

I like watching everything in its original language, has nothing to do with being a weeb. The only exception is Italian horror, that stuff is a lot better dubbed into English and half the time the casts have American actors in that then get dubbed into Italian.

(Older) Italian movies, like Westerns, are one of those 'grey areas', because often they were shot with an international cast, for an international cast, and they were shot without sound (or in multiple languages), where they already knew it was going to be dubbed in multiple languages, depending on the audience.

Vigilante cancelling is not justice.

Sometimes it is. If abusive behavior has been reported internally, and those in charge have repeatedly dismissed/ignored it, a final resort for a victim can, and has been, to just take it publicly, share the experiences, and let people decide for themselves what the appropriate response should be.

Obviously, I'm talking about people sharing the truth, and I'm not talking about people making up terrible shit in order to damage someone. There's a huge difference between the two.

You mean we just need a bunch of subtitles and we're perfectly fine with whatever language it's in, while Yankeeboos demand all their entertainment to get dubbed in English specifically for them, cause they can't stand hearing any other languages, and/or having to read subtitles, right ... !?

I'm writing this down, thanks for the advice man. I'd love to get some stylish clothes, all I have is brown or grey stuff

You remind me of a colleague I had. One of the sweetest guys I've met, great sense of dry humor, but he was 'hiding'.

He was shy, he had long hair, he only wore black clothes (not an emo, just scruffy death-metal Captain Caveman vibe), he barely spoke up around others until he felt comfortable, and just very lowkey in every way possible.

He was good at his job but never wanted the spotlight, or attention, and was fine with picking up the crappier tasks. I had a good connection with him, and he later told me he's never been comfortable around people, but always felt very comfortable around me, and enjoyed my company.

The thing is, you could tell he wasn't very happy with his life, but hiding beneath that Captain Caveman was a fantastic sweet guy. Like 'heart of gold' kinda guy. And he would never believe it, but if he'd just get a fucking haircut, some decent clothes, cleaned his facial hair, he'd instantly go from a 4 or 5 out of 10, to an 8/10, because he had a good face, nice smile, amazing eyes. Not saying that would solve any psychological issues he might have had, but considering he once mentioned one day he'd like a girlfriend, he'd probably attract someone a bit easier if he cleaned up a bit, and when you look a bit nicer and feel a bit more attractive, that also changes your attitude, self-respect and confidence a bit.

Just try to make an effort. Not for anyone else, but just for you. Buy a nice shirt/sweater, fix your hair a bit, walk with a bit more confidence, lift your head, find some things you enjoy, be it art or video games, or movies, or whatever. Life IS pretty meaningless, but while you're here, you can give it a little bit of meaning for yourself.

Take it each day at a time, try to do anything nice on those days. Just 1 thing. Doesn't have to be big. And it can be just for you. And it can be completely meaningless. Like feeding some ducks, or greasing your bike. Whatever.

It sounds like nothing, maybe it is, but you just do 1 of those little things and when you did it, you feel a bit better about yourself and what you did.

That's it. That's life.

What if the setting takes place outside of Japan and charcters are meant to be speaking in not Japanese?

If the characters are meant to be speaking in 'not Japanese', then the show would have them speaking in the correct language. If a Japanese writer/director decides he wants to use a different language, that's perfectly fine. And then that would be the original language.

I don't expect The Sound of Music to be completely in German. I don't expect Moulin Rouge to be in French. I don't expect the Disney version of Mulan to be in Chinese. Surely they are MEANT to be speaking in those languages, but these productions are written in English, and shot in English.

However, I do expect my Scandinavian crime-thrillers to be in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, whatever. I expect my Chinese kung fu movies to be in Mandarin or Cantonese. I expect my South-Korean dramas in Korean. I expect Family Guy and The Simpsons and Breaking Bad in English.

It's usually very clear what the original language is. You can look for all the exceptions and 'what ifs' you want, and I'm sure there are grey areas, but your original question was: "Do we dislike the majority of English voice acting in video games", and the answer is very simple: We want the games to have the original language included. If that's English, then we love it. If it's English when the original language isn't, we hate it.

It's 2020. Original language should always be included as an option. No excuses.

I'm one of 7 billion people on this tiny planet. The universe has existed for billions of years and will continue to exist for billions of years.

We're absolute meaningless specks of dust. We love to pretend it all means anything, but we don't, and it doesn't. We exist only for a few breaths, and we're dust again.

This is depressing, I know, but also liberating. Live your short life, and live it how you want to live it. Enjoy the sunshine, try not to hurt others, make someone else's life better, and don't worry to much about what 'society' expects from you.

Europe tried it and they're all dead and destroyed, anarchy reigns. Oh wait, the EU is doing just fine. :l Funny that they have a larger population and plenty of high density cities yet have less cases than some of our states combined.

Also, our (Holland) lock-down has been acceptable. We have a functional social safety net, we were able to work from home, we could still go to the stores, restaurants recently reopened. We dealt with it and are now slowely opening back up again.

In the USA, when you lose your job, you often lose your healthcare, you can miss your payments and lose your home, or get kicked out of your rented place. You'll be on your own. So people are desperate to just keep employed, keep working, etc.

It's political because incompetent politicians have made everything political, in order to avoid their own responsibilities, in order to make it all about 'loyalty' to the party, so now it's about 'winning' and 'losing'.

They demonize their political opponents innorder to indoctrinize their base. If your base believes the other side can't do anything right, are out to take away your rights & liberties, don't value everyone equally, etc, you strengthen the bond between you and your base. It's a bond based on hatred of a self-proclaimed common enemy.

The virus doesn't care. At all. Obviously. But politicians these day treat their job as a sport.

Aren't you afraid of counterfeits?

No. They're official stores. K-Swiss, Converse, Palladium, Vans, etc.

I think the only counterfeits I ever picked up in HK were Adidas football shirts, 3 for 10 bucks or so, and all 3 of those are still perfectly fine, so not even sure if they're fake or just from the back of a truck. Those were sold in the street, by a pop-up crew who just lay out a pile of shirts (and shorts), quickly sell as many as possible, and then disappear again.

Again, it's 7-8 years since I bought them, and all 3 of them are still in fine condition, so can't complain.
TopicIs it easier for men or women to be attractive?

Depends on age, but basically if a man takes care of himself and doesn't grow fat, become unhygienic, etc, it's easier to ease into old age, while many women have a bit more trouble aging gracefully.

Obviously, it differs from person to person, but our idea of beauty for women is mostly smooth skin, good hair, nice body, while men who have a decent jawline and okay body are often still attractive even when they get a bit older.

Many women also sabotage their older selves, of course, by ruining their skin throughout their first 30-40 years with excessive make-up, alcohol, not drinking enough water, perhaps smoking, etc.

Lines in an older man's face are regarded as 'character', but in women it's often seen as less attractive.

Also, to be fair, Scott is a bit of a douche. Teacher's pet kinda guy, 'by the rules', 'square', etc. Never liked Cyclops. Not in the comics. Not in the movies.

I mostly keep it under 30 euro. I keep an eye on sales, I don't wear the same shoes every day, so they usually last a bit longer, and I try to buy shoes when I'm on holiday in Hong Kong/Asia, where they're generally a bit cheaper than in Holland.

you Believe chinas numbers?!

China mostly contained it to Wuhan province, which had a huge lockdown, so travel in and out of Wuhan was shut down, and the rest of the country was mostly spared.

They took this shit seriously, both government as well as citizens, and they dealt with it appropriately.

So yeah, I mostly believe their numbers. There could be a few thousand more, where cause of death might have been attributed to some other factors, but where COVID-19 still played a part, but I don't think that differs much from other countries where people have been dying.

Numbers in South-Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc have also been very low, compared to Western Europe and the USA. I expect India, South America and Africa to have high numbers of casualties, similar or higher than the USA.
