Kingdra makes it relevant, and i like the dragon type, but the design is a bit worse. eh, i'll go Seadra i guess.

the last stage in particular is so bad for the AI. my Hardin pretty much always goes towards the enemy Tiki and promptly gets one-rounded, while my Tiki that could fly across still doesn't get to the enemy Tiki before this happens. it's baffling.

man what are the chances. get Tiki in a session with no blues, then two sessions later, get Linde in another session with no blues.

Linde looks nice at least, and Tiki has been a good auto-battler for TT (and probably better than Leif/Anna for the coming arena season). though Tiki is -spd so she'd probably have to run the standard dragon build to be really useful and i'm not sure i want to sac a Hector to her.

i'm not a big fan of Winston so hopefully he goes instead of Brett. or maybe Tyler if the veto is used, though i doubt that's possible. those are really the only two people on that side i don't like.

i actually didn't watch Monster until this contest. i think i was in the middle of it when SMFAS2 started. so i'm not really in urgent need of a rewatch.

the one anime i really need to rewatch is Haibane Renmei. i only saw it once way back when it first came out.

i'm in a weird spot where i might actually need the water/lightning spellblade the most. Celes is going to have to do a lot of the damage for me against Famfrit, while i'll have TGC to lean on against Quetzalcoatl, and maybe Tifa if i decide to shell out for her LMR.

Monster has actually been a very high finisher in the past, getting third once and having having another top 5 finish (which might have also been third?), though missing several supporters from previous years right now.

if you had just specified Stan to get Death Note or Code Geass it would have been fine (i would have saved Death Note if Code Geass was safe)

man the difference between 280 and ??? is just insane. i killed the 280 in 16 seconds and could only get the ??? down to like 80%. really need those 4* holy magicites and Ovelia USB and probably some more poison resist accessories.

there used to be an online shop where you could buy Elysian whips. those let you keep the pegasus when promoting. also they'd gain swords instead of axes as a secondary weapon and gain res instead of lose it, but they had lower atk and def. but now the shop is gone so you'd need a cheat device or memory editor in an emulator to do it.

i mean i made Linde a paladin and Wrys a swordmaster once but that's really something you gotta commit to from the beginning so they at least gain some strength

Palla would probably be your best choice for a female swordmaster at this point

finished up all the other weapons today. Emerald just melted to Vivi + Ashe. the first eye didn't even come out until pretty late and it got maybe 1 turn before Ashe AOSB ended the fight. took a few tries until the dispel didn't screw me over early (since it's single target and blocked by magic blink).

Sapphire was pretty straightforward; as much as i hate dispel, it's not so bad when it's so easily forecasted (especially with Rikku and entruster). though i was surprised at how little damage Squall did. probably should have used +30% damage on him as i resorted to spamming his OSB late.

and Ultima. this is the one i was most worried about, not having Cloud USB, but Squall BSB, Vaan BSB, and Celes USB with two R3 flare strikes was just enough. Celes's last turn was a re-cast of her USB with no ability uses left, Rosa was out of Curada, Vaan was dead and i didn't have an entruster, so a couple less dual-casts and i think i would have died. coolest thing about that fight was how Ramza with BSB2+LMR just worked absolutely perfectly - use it instantly, full break, banishing strike immediately after it mighty guards, wrath cmnd x2, full break again, banishing strike AGAIN immediately after it mighty guards, and then just enough meter to USB into instant recast of the BSB.

now just Zeromus left. don't think i'm gonna bother with boundless, but i should probably be able to do the multiplayer one (and for once i'm probably gonna have to do it by myself). i was thinking about RWing Ramza's chain and using Orlandu/Marche, maybe Raines for imperil.

well that was one of the most unusual party setups i've ever used for fellstar diamond weapon. Tidus, Yuffie, Aeris, Yuna and Rosa. no buff, no entrust, i didn't even use damage RMs on Tidus and Yuffie; needed Ace Striker and Mako Might, respectively. probably using a third WM/summoner would have been best or maybe an entruster but it still worked out nicely this way - killed with Yuffie's AOSB at the end of the second chain use with just enough gauge and right at the end of the countdown with Tidus using an instant BSB just before it as well.
