i do agree that null phys should be allowed back. I could see banning custom options that provide it in low tier potentially though (assuming tiers are still a thing in future mercs), since i kinda hate the thought that buying him down allows literal insta wins against some comps early game when people don't have lowbies with other options beyond melee. This is only a fear super early game though i would think

This game does a really good job of making you feel like you're getting better with each run. Like, my first few runs I was struggling in asphodel, and now I get to hades consistently and I think I'm getting the hang out that fight without relying on crutch boons. And I've only had about 21 total runs!

I know a lot of it is stuff like extra death defiance stacks and other mirror buffs, but theres more to it - like, I just feel like I just do better against bosses than even just a day or so ago.

its actually really funny to go off mercs iv, since yu and samus were both staples on teams that got eliminated decently early

its very helpful and definitely what I aim for but its not like devastating if you don't. my first ever win of that fight got them both to half about the same time!

elysium spoilers i guess

the theseus/asterius fight has really grown on me. The first time I got there, i died in literally 0.2 seconds, but after a couple tries and kinda learning how it goes its a lot of fun to time dodge in/under asterius' attacks. Having asterius as a mid stage boss was daunting but actually helped a lot in learning how to fight him without theseus screwing you over with random shots, and once you get down just asterius its easy to add in theseus. My biggest complaint with the fight is how different (in difficulty) the second half can be depending on which god theseus gets to call down.

I haven't seen the fight with extreme measures yet, looking forward to it though.

We weren't all always innocent - I'm pretty sure my first ever smffffc save was a final save of the round save of cid, which i then deleted to save sephiroth a couple minutes later, causing drama and a rule change

or maybe it was the other order or other participants I don't remember, the point is it was great
