you're thinking of palace of the dead, which is in quarrymill. if you haven't unlocked it, the quest begins in gridania i belive.

BUT, for the first few levels, i'd recommend completing your hunting log for that class. Equip your brand new ring (gotten from the smith, increases exp gain below level 30) and just go kill the marked monsters. this will probably get you to like 10-15 before you really have any trouble killing stuff, and then you can start queuing for dungeons. With the brand new ring, food, armory bonus, heat of battle from a free company, and aetheryte earrings (can't get those anymore, sorry!) i would literally gain like 4 levels in a sastasha run. after the first few dungeons the quick gains peter out, and then you can either move to PotD, or if you're ranked up with your grand company, do squadron dungeons if you want to mostly afk it.

if you want to get into crafting, its probably best you hold off an getting a house anyway. you're gonna want liquid assets until you get situated. the life of early crafting is spending yourself to 2 gil, making stuff, selling it, repeat. I think, anyway. I'm what people refer to as a 'trained eye' crafter, which means i cheesed the hell out of crafting and have no clue what i'm doing. but i have all the classes at 80!!!

you can get a small house for way less than that, prob like 5-6 mil? you only need 3-4 mil for the plot

you want to start with a small anyway, so you can relocate onto a medium/large when one opens up

yeah, if you put the time into eureka, its def a quick easy source of gil. you need to actually go through the whole thing before it really starts paying off though

btw, HGR made like 600 million or something completely absurd off selling obscure logograms the first few days of hydatos' release. he literally joined PW spawn parties and didn't mind the fact it could go like 200+ kills without a spawn, just raking in dem obscures

eureka was side content they introduced with stormblood, and the primary purpose of it was to get the relic weapon associated with the stormblood expansion. Its structures more like old school MMOs, with penalties on death, and grinding overworld mobs.

nowadays the physical rewards are basically just a few mounts (and glowy weapons you you like that kind of thing for glamor!). I enjoy it mostly for the nostalgia, both for when it was super active during stormblood, and for older MMOs in general. It used to be basically impossible to do anything without a party, but they've nerfed it substantially so now we can solo pretty well anything once you get a high enough level in there (note levels are separate there from normal level).

you can either dump it, or turn it in to your grand company for company seals. I personally dump it, but you can trade in the company seals for random things that are useful (like cordials iirc)

if the spirit bond is 100% though, you can go ahead and retrieve a materia from it for free. problem is, you'll just discard said materia since its going to be <= level 6

its in roulettes, but i imagine there are so many queues for rabanstre/lighthouse for the relic weapon that people level 70+ queueing for alliance raid roulette get thrown in there. Eventually, they'll fill to yours though, and its worth it since orbonne is so good

for each roulette, you'll notice that theres a checkmark for 'daily bonus' (or daily reward, whatever verbage they use) - that bonus is the biggest chunk of exp everyone takes about when they say do your daily roulette. After your first of the day, if you're going to do a dungeon, you'll want to queue for the highest level one you can.

I fully admit I'm not the best to answer this, but I think they could even just work with tools they already have. Like, using E5S as an example, Maybe something like using leg/foot graze to heavy/bind the bird to make the section easier for the OT? Probably not the best example since thats not exactly hard, i'm just thinking of things to make the fight 'easier' while not being 'required'

Make sure you always pick a dance partner when doing level 60+ content

protip: when in doubt about who would be the best dance partner (ie, who does the most damage), a quick way to gauge is check who has the most hp (out of dps). not 100% but a decent rule of thumb if you don't know relative class damages

but if they die a lot, feel free to revoke the partner privilege and move it elsewhere

i will say its really useful to have a tank/healer leveled, just for random things. that said you're leveling different stuff than RDM (melee and ranged vs caster), so it's not a huge loss to go samurai or dancer.

i don't think it'd be bad to get a tank going though, they're pretty useful if you ever decide to join hunt trains at max level so you can guarantee full credit even if a party you join has people asleep at the wheel. this sentence probably doesn't make sense to you yet so don't worry about it too much if you think you'd have more fun with dps classes.
