CoD WWII just came out and big surprise, same old premise yet again. How many games have done this to death already? Do people think WWII is only about Nazi Germans, USA, Russia, Britain, heroes vs baddies, yadada, totally ignoring the rest of the world? It wouldn't be a world war otherwise.

Why is there not a single game in existence that tries covering other theatres of the war? Like the Japanese and Asiatic Pacific theater for a good example. The Japanese occupation over Asia, the British struggle for control, from Singapore to Hong Kong, Philipines, the huge war theatre over at China where the Japanese dominated over the Chinese, the rise of rebels etc.

ever notice this watching the news on TV? Every time world leaders from countries meet up, you can see them talking to each other, but you never actually hear what they're saying to each other. Or when they go to meet in a conference or forum, you don't actually hear what they discuss about in person.

The only way you're ever informed is what the news reporters tell you and what you read in the news articles. Why don't they ever let you hear world leaders speaking to each other?

W3 > W2 in every aspect but if you didn't enjoy W2, you most likely won't enjoy W3.

also, the simple reason why W3 >>> skyrim is because W3 doesn't rely on mods and random and/or copy-paste encounters to make things interesting since almost everything is deliberate whilst easily providing just as many hours of entertainment on an average run.

though it's true if you like your player characters mute without any personality to speak of and lacking the ability to form any meaningful relationships, skyrim's your game.

I'm just using Skyrim as an example, so you don't have to take it seriously as a direct comparison but it's a good example anyways. The thing about playing in first-person is you can another level of immersion third-person can never provide.
When you play in third person and see everything only from that perspective, it's like watching a movie. When I play as Geralt, I feel more like I'm the invisible master just watching from behind pulling the strings of a puppet to do what I want. When I interact with NPCs, I don't see myself talking to the people, I only see Geralt talking to the people.

As for a character being mute, that's actually the great thing about it.
You get full control and freedom in determining your own character. Their looks, their personality, their race, religion or whatever (and yes, I know Bethesda still sucks at making good dialogue). If you make an strong orc or a wimpy kid, you don't have to worry about his voice not matching the character.
That's also why when FO4 came out with that voiced player thing, people hated it.

I feel the same but then again, I never liked medieval fantasy games to begin with. Something about having to play in third-person just sucks. Probably the camera angle that looks like I'm some fly hovering above Geralt. If it's over-the-shoulder camera angle, I'd actually prefer that.

Also the cinematic scripted cutscenes just doesn't click with me. It's like watching two people talking instead of directly talking to the person.

I've not played the game yet but I did play the 2nd one and it kinda bored me most of the time.
And looking it reviews, gameplay and other videos, i just don't see the fun in it.

Maybe it's because of the third-person view, maybe it's because they don't even let you make your own character appearance and backstory, or maybe it's because I just don't like playing as a rugged white-haired dude.
Or maybe I've just been playing too much Skyrim. Seems like there's some things Witcher just can't compare in regard.

China will always only act in their own national interests. It's why they don't intervene in Syria, where they 'help' Africa for their gains, where they can only settle tensions by asking 'peaceful resolution' while subtly doing the opposite in building up their forces at the South China Sea.

They only recently stopped coal imports from NK to comply with the UN, which again, is for their better benefit. They'll always stay allied to NK, again for their benefit. NK is their bufferzone and leverage against the US and has always been.
