Looks like it happened during spring training. 3/8 was the last day he pitched (3/12 ST suspended). He looked fine that day.

And see, this is exactly what I was saying about the Mets projected wins this year. They got SUPER LUCKY last year with injuries. Like almost no one was hurt. The base team is worse without Wheeler, or the same at best if Diaz and Familia are magically good again and Betances is his old pre-injury self..... but injury regression to the mean says they are going to suffer more injuries and here it is. It was blatant this team , as always, did not do enough to protect itself from injury depth. Else, they would've kept Wheeler.

So as I mentioned this will be the 2nd time a deal to sell the mets has fallen through at the last minute because fuckbags tried to change the deal so they'd get all the money and still have full control. Dead fucking serious.

This was a fucking 2.7 billion dollar deal. And they made this man walk away. By changing the terms of the already agreed upon deal. And it's not the first time this has happened.

These guys are going to fucking own the team the rest of my life. They never really wanted to sell. This was a fucking ploy to generate interest. Make back pages, and sell tickets. This is the 2nd time this has happened now where Fredo has forced a potential buyer out by changing a deal after it was agreed upon. I almost feel like this was just a ploy to get on some back pages and get fans buying more tickets. It's horrific this dog and pony show is allowed to go on but who is surprised at this point huh?

i went to the devils game on Saturday, it was 2000 Cup night (vs the Stars naturally). much of the championship team was there. They even had Petr Sykora who wasn't able to be on the ice wit the cup in game 7 because he left game 6 to injury and didn't return the next game, so he never got a chance to do a lap with the cup on the ice. so they had him do it that night, nice touch.

You can click into any game for which theres a youtube video and this guy listened to every single and recorded every single bang. Now remember the mets were there in 2017, right after hurricane harvey. Theres no feed for the first 2 games (which was a doubleheader, pod from friday bc of the hurricane that the mets agreed to) but there is for the Sunday game. and clicking on that video they even missed at least one bang that led to george Springer's homer in the 4th (its in the top comment of the YouTube video that is connected to that astros Mets game).

Rojas hiring is good. TBH, I preferred that over Beltran to begin with, so whatever I guess. He is very well respected in the org and has been the AA manager so most of the young players are familiar with him. He's also the brother of Moises Alou so that's cool

(Beltran got a raw deal from the Mets but he, and any players involved on a larger scale, really should've been punished by MLB, not leave it up to the teams to dangle.)

It seemed like a calculated ploy to me. To come out when he did to deal the most damage. He clearly had ulterior motives and while coming out was right, waiting 2 years to do so is not very altruistic.

Btw in the end I will eventually be ok with this beltran thing because on a personal level I was not fully comfortable with having a manager who had cheated but I just think this was totally unprofessional from MLB, the Mets, the media to wrap the Mets up like this, not to mention Beltran himself.
