No idea why AW would get any reps when it bombed and hasn't had a game in over 10 years

AW bombed due to very unfortunate timing being released on 9/11 which caused it to not get released in Europe on time or in Japan at all until years later in a lame collection and to get subdued marketing.

Moreover, Fire Emblem probably would have died if SSB hadn't included it since Melee and shoved it down our throats in the last two games.

There is an alternate universe where SSB saved Advance Wars instead of Fire Emblem.

That said, SSB features plenty of characters from dead franchises so it doesn't even matter if AW is dead, it still should get represented because it is one of Nintendo's great franchises.

Yeah.

That intro feels weirdly edited. That said, I still prefer it to the minute and a half version by far. The problem isn't its length, the problem is the jarring shift from the "theeee simmmmpsooooonnnnnnns" to the next part.

The Office shortened its intro to a 7-8 second clip for some of its later episodes and that came out perfectly. Right after the piano jingle, it just goes right to the final note.

Of course they are. But if they started to claim they're biological parents when they're adoptive parents, they're wrong.

And trans people are still people. But if they start claiming they're the opposite gender...they're wrong.

To me it seems very arbitrary to refuse to grant trans people the title of their preferred gender while simultaneously granting adoptive parents the title of parents despite that they aren't biologically parents.

Like I know trans men aren't biologically men. But we can recognize them as male because it is ultimately a social grace that is for the best, just like we recognize adoptive parents as parents even though they aren't biological.

But adoptive parents are a valid and real kind of parent, just like biological parents. I didn't ask if you would refuse to call them biological parents, I asked if you deny that they are PARENTS and that they are parenting their children. This is hard to believe. I watched a transformers movie once with a friend and it was one of the worst movie experiences I've ever had. This one looks better in the trailers so I expected it to get more praise, but when I found out it had a 100% i was shocked. I still dont really care about transformers but at least this one probably doesn't suck so much.

I honestly found kubo's writing and humor too juvenile though, so I hope this one is more enjoyable by all ages. If so, then I might watch it

I got this game for christmas because it had such good reviews. I was really disappointed with it. The plot is dumb, the writing is bad, it makes you replay the same content multiple times, and the game's big climax is a simple sudoku puzzle.

I see what you mean, but I don't think every franchise in SSB needs to be active. Some of them are dead and don't need any more entries, like ROB, or Wii Fit, Duck Hunt, or Earthbound. And Smash has actually saved a few series by breathing life into Kid Icarus and Fire Emblem.

Keep in mind that Nintendo's internal studios are mostly kept busy making new Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, and other tentpole games that they can't just let die. They get second- and third-party studios to help out by making games for Metroid, Luigi's Mansion, Kirby, DK, Pokemon, and other franchises. All the while, Nintendo also has to invest in generating new IPs like ARMS.

My point is that they probably have limited resources that they have to balance across all their franchises as well as generate new IPs, and that means not every franchise can get a new game every few years. They could try to hire more employees and become a bigger company or contract more third-party studios to make games for their franchises, but those plans doesn't always work out well.

IMO Star Fox is in the most dire need of a good game.

People have been claiming that Kevin Hart already apologized for the hurtful comments he made on twitter and in comedy routines like these back in 2010:

There are a lot of homophobic tweets he made but those are just a few of them

Earlier this week Kevin claimed he'd "already addressed" his previous homophobia and that he was a different person now. People took this to mean that he had apologized for it and that he isn't that kind of person any more.

The interview where he "addressed it" was conducted in 2015 with a reporter from Rolling Stone magazine. Here is a part of that interview:

I'd never apologize for what was never intended to be disrespectful--I'd never allow the public to win for something I know wasn't malicious. I think people take things so seriously--you send out a tweet, and I'm not apologizing for that. You're ignorant for thinking I'd have any ill will. I will not defend ignorance. What I will defend is a point of view. Those are two different things. If I'm talking to you through my lens, my point of view, this is my version of what I see and how I see it. You have the choice to say I don't like his POV or I like it. And then you turn your back or you continue to talk about it.

Showing that not only did he not apologize, he explicitly said he'd refuse to apologize because he didn't view his comments as disrespectful, and you're ignorant if you think they were. After being declared the Oscars host, Kevin Hart was asked to apologize for the hurtful comments, to which he posted indignant replies on social media claiming that he'd already addressed it and we should move on (in other words, get off my back already, I'm not gonna apologize)

Finally after stepping down (who knows if he chose to or if the academy told him to) he posted a real apology on his twitter, maybe because his publicist wanted to damage control or maybe he actually is sorry now.

So please stop spreading the narrative that Kevin Hart apologized and was targeted anyway. Kevin Hart was never sorry for his comments, and even now is probably only sorry that he got called out.
