lol why the fuck would you specify the NES version instead of the MSX version.

I played through MG1&2 on the MGS3 Subsistence disc and actually liked them a lot. I'd rather just replay them than replay MGS2 or play the rest of the series.

Mass Effect did this too.

Where you get achievements for keeping squadmates in your team for a long time. So you have to play at least 3 times to get them all.

AND not switch up your party much

Fucking bullshit.

That's the first thing that came to mind. On top of that, you had to use each power like 100 times, which meant making one of every class and spamming the unique abilities. Plus there were difficulty achievements, which iirc had to be unlocked before you could even play on those difficulties.

Not that it was a bad game, but I did lose interest after maybe 2 or 3 hours. Just didn't like the combat against the robot-like enemies.

The numbers dont align with your narrative though. If this was truly pay-to-play with the donors anticipating that Hillary would win the presidency, donations should have been increasing rapidly as we neared the 2016 election. Instead... they did the opposite, dropping more than 10% from 2014 to 2015. Womp womp.

So a 10% drop leading into a 90% drop is just business as usual, then. Okay, Barbrady.

That's the good thing about beat-em-ups; you just go around punching people for like 30-60 minutes. Some arcade ports, like The Simpsons and TMNT '89 on the 360, don't have a life/credit limit, so it doesn't matter if you're uncoordinated.

Step 1. Stop browsing GameFAQs.
Step 2. Do literally anything else.
Step 3. Profit.

Try a beat-em-up, like TMNT (2 or 3 on NES, 4 on SNES) or just play Mega Man.

I always had something against 3. I didnt like the levels, and I tried the GBC version which was just terrible. 2 was fantastic coming off the original.

I actually liked the PS1 version best, since that's what I had first. It felt more like THPS2. The levels weren't as gimmicky iirc since the hardware was more limited.

Never tried the PS1 version of THPS4 (hell I didn't know it existed until recently), but I wonder how that compares.

The dungeon gameplay is a little weird, even compared to 3 & 4. You have to, like, talk to the enemies by choosing a response you think they'd like in order to "catch" them.

Also, the in-combat voices get very annoying, very quick. Every single time you hit an enemy with its weakness, one ally feels the need to shout "looking cool, Joker!" at you. Every. Single. Fucking. Time.

I like it better than THPS3, at least. The soundtrack was fantastic too.

The levels just weren't as memorable imo and many of the goals were frustratingly hard. The removal of the time limit was a nice change, but it still didn't have the ability to get off the board iirc.

Like, I just looked up the levels because I could only remember 2... and I still don't remember half of them. I played the shit out of that game too; enough to win a local Game Crazy tournament and get THUG for free.
