Whitney isnt even the hardest in her game, Id rank Morty above her.Notoriety definitely plays a factor. I've said before in the Whitney vs. Morty debate that the average first-time player is probably better prepared for Whitney than for Morty at their respective points in the game, but Whitney's Miltank is just so infamous that she's become the posterchild for difficult fights in GSC. --- darkx |

| Underleveled 04/26/24 12:50:36 PM #4 | Smash not being a launch title is actually pretty strategic. It's a gigantic system-seller, so releasing it about 12-18 months after launch once the initial rush for the system has died down to retain/regain momentum isn't a bad idea.

This is the best cast Jesse Tannenbaum has assembled, unseating 42's.45 is better than both of them. Emily, Bruce, Jake, Kellie, Katurah, Kaleb, Sabiyah and Kendra are all top tier. Dee is a perfectly fine winner and she and Austin both have their moments. Even my least-favorite on paper, Drew, is a fun villain to root against. Then you've got some entertaining early boot trainwrecks, it's just a really top tier group and the only new-era season that's in my top 10 seasons overall. --- darkx |

But what twists? There's still the dumb mergatory immediately followed by a split vote but I feel there's less random shit ending games out of nowhere. Journeys give less stuff because you can fail them and "knowledge is power" hasn't been uttered a single time, thank god.I mean that's a big part of what I mean. 5 boots into the merge (counting Moriah) we've only had one genuine free-for-all immunity challenge so far, which is icky, and only one truly exciting boot, being Tevin (by exciting I mean "this legitimately shakes up the trajectory of the game"). I'm also REALLY not big on people losing their vote, especially when it happens for a reason totally out of their control. It's becoming way too regular a thing and as bad as shot in the dark is, losing your vote means you don't even have that opportunity, which is unfair. --- darkx |

| Underleveled 04/25/24 12:52:16 PM #345 | Not sure what show you're watching, but there are still plenty of stupid twists that are disrupting the natural flow of strategy and discouraging interesting gameplay. What's saving this season is that there are SO many shit tier players who literally don't understand the most fundamental aspects of playing the game and the good, level-headed players are getting frustrated that that's ruining their games, and that's funny.
Me personally, I'm currently putting this one in the "bad pre-merge, good post-merge" category. --- darkx |

My parents know what a Wii is and could pick one out of a group of game consoles. My aunts and uncles who are not gamers in the slightest have/had the system. I can't say the same for the Switch.

There's a difference between having a "resume" (which usually amounts to a million moves just for the sake of making moves, many of which weren't even in your best interest), and having one signature move (one thing you can point to and say "that was me.
