People often are jealous because of the wrong reasons, and that in turn dehumanizes their fellow man, and ultimately themselves as well.

The film more crystallizes the ethos of South Korean society as it is currently. There really is no message, but more of 'this is what most of us believe/resonate with'.

If anything, the more deeper readers of the film would question the son's resolution. Is getting a lot of money the cure to this situation? Many of the South Korean young have this perspective, and it's not being addressed ideologically.

Yes.. otherwise Reforged players and classic players would be on different servers, splitting the community. The way I see it, Reforged bring together all the realms and even new players to the server- and for that I'm personally a bit happy with. The whole thing to me is more about integration and enlargening the player base. It's better than nothing. Plus you can actually report abusers and smurfing also has gotten a lot more harder.

Eh, yeah classic is still pretty nonfunctional but that's usually a given with a huge transition like this. Personally I think the combination of RT and AT is interesting.. when the MMR kicks in I think the meta and the general skill level will improve a lot.

One thing I really worry about is how they'll address the ping issues- with some players I go up to around 300. Some of my clanmates tell me they get 600.

Oh, I'm just defending the update, not Reforged itself. I haven't purchased it yet. I never found the beta or the previews compelling. If you've purchased it after seeing the beta.. then honestly you only have yourself to blame. You get what you see..

The point I'm trying to get across is that the transition phase usually is rough, not that it's okay for Blizzard to put out a shit remaster. Don't think I'll switch to the remastered anytime soon.

The people outraged about this are casual gamers who wanted to relive the experience... for the actual gamers who enjoy the RTS aspect of the game, most are indifferent. We don't really care about the campaign, in the long term.. and most are sticking with Classic- not to shit on Blizzard but because we're so much more used to it. The technical issues we've already experienced in a multitude of Blizzard related things in the past anyway, so we're enjoying the Versus until that gets fixed. The people outraged about this haven't even stayed with the community for that long.. it's pretty annoying to hear these guys whine about something as if they were entitled to it. I guess there's just a casym between the actual RTS players and the casuals.

It's because they don't have to focus their attention on domestic pop culture. In a way, they're shielded from the excesses of capitalism, such as the service and entertainment industries. The successes of minorities ware off anyway, after around the third generation, once a visible culture erects around them. Biculturalism is the asset, not their ethnicity.

I'm pretty indifferent about it. The stuff that needs to be fixed will probably be fixed in the coming weeks... a lot of the outrage or whatever seems to be a cultural thing.
