I dunno what the thresholds are, but if (for example) the cutoff is 50% need to vote for overturn, then if the vote comes back at say above 40% but under 50%, the original mod should have to give an explanation. Perhaps also go back to allowing - but not requiring - it at the moderator's discretion. Sometimes, the contest will be that the user genuinely doesn't see what's wrong, rather than that they're just contesting every moderation they get; and while long-time users know "if you want to ask questions, you go to Hellhole", new users are likely to if anything look to MBH or ATM, see that both have a "don't ask about your moderations" rule, and either break it or assume that they've just got to guess what they did. --- Trumble does not belong on pizza.

Is there red tape we can get rid of to bring costs down without a negative impact on the quality of housing, food, etc? Is there anything that's taxed that doesn't need to be, or where the tax could be moved to a more discretionary item so that the burden of it falls more on those who are more able to afford it?
