Just told me today, the mod said it was fine in respect to signatures. Wondering if this is allowed, within the topic (since you can't advertise straight up)... When I make a new topic, for example, "Garfield Kart is free on Steam, 2/29-3/2"... I do a few things. Obviously the link, a Youtube video, @ the person who told me. Would it be fine to post the Discord link in that respect? Is that still advertising? Otherwise I'll just use the signature or tell people to query me about it. I don't mean anything nefarious by it... was probably going to do it out of ignorance without this board 10 thread... and it's safe for work. We're obeying the GameFAQs rules and then some... no insulting/arguing about anything. Just wondering. There's still routes I can take, only wanted to ask --- |

| TroutPaste 08/08/21 7:46:56 AM #1 | This is the general concept.  You indicate which roles you want... @ Steam, GOG, and/or Epic... then when a new game pops up...  I would use it. For those two, it would be GOG and Epic respectively (didn't have it going yet, when those were new). So if you don't give a shit about anything except Steam, you only get the @ Steam role. And nobody else can send @ messages in the channel except Admin... so you won't get bogus notifications or your hopes up (more discords should do this... turn off the @everyone guys) This channel is locked, but we have video game and general discussion channels. Safe for work, no bullying, insulting, trolling, racism/sexism/homophobia, religious or political talk. Keep it about the games or just being fucking nice people I'm not going to post the direct link on CE, but I can PM you or direct you to the Free Games Board --- |
