Superhero movies suck and you need to watch some movies that do not rely on dopamine rushes and instead make you think.

So tired of these pathetic movies with totally unrelatable storylines. Smoked for like 3 years. Clean for 2 years now. Smoking is an awful habit. There is absolutely nothing appealing about it. It tastes awful. It does not even do anything except sort of mellow you out a bit i guess. Sobriety is the way to go, remain vigilant and do not lose focus, the enemy is waiting for you to slip up to bring ruin to your life.

If you could pay rent with a credit card the average american would save roughly $200 a year.

But yeah i will take every penny i can get in savings honestly. I know some guys might scoff at 1.5% return but that's money in one year. I try to be as efficient as possible nowadays. I literally monitored my data usage on my phone just to get a $10/month discount. If there is some kind of hack or way for me to get an edge in the system then i am on it. It has to be practical obviously. But yeah $10/month phone savings is $120/year, 1.5% on my disposable income is around $140/year, $4/month off my adobe license is $48/year...there is a lot more savings but you get the jist. When it is all said and done i can sleep a little better when making big purchases on things i actually want. I do not feel as guilty about purchasing things ya know? I feel like i actually deserve them and i value them more.

We have lots of great posts in here. I think i will do a video one of these days on why having a credit card is an absolute must.

That is the card i will be getting. My banker likes me and was straight up with me today during our appointment, he said the freedom card is the best card you can get all around from chase. No annual fee, 1%-5% cash back on practically everything, if you are a chase customer then you get everything under their app so no need to make new username and memorize a different password. The only thing you might want is a higher limit in the case of an emergency.

I put 22k on my credit card last year. Now, I could've put that 22k on my debit card (which I technically did, since my credit card is paid by my debit/checking account) but I would have earned zero (0) points/rewards. You put that on a credit card and then you start earning a lot of extra money for basically doing what you normally would do.

Should add that if you bank with chase or another competent bank you can get your card through them and pay and manage everything through their app, so it is not even a hassle to pay it off and you can set it up so the payments are automatic so you do not even need to worry about paying it off.

Jeez some of the posts on here are a bit frightening. I am guessing same dudes without a credit card who are 25+ years old also do not invest in the ponzi crypto. Imagine investing in crypto every month and getting 1%+ cash back and the crypto ROI. Imagine passing up on that instead of using that money to get therapy so you can manage your money better.

Smh i am happy i made this thread cuz this should wake up a lot of folks who are living their lives on iron man mode. Knowing how to leverage credit is basically like having a cheat code.

That is actually not very cool of them to do. If you have the income to actually pay off the debt they are tempting you with it is understandable but for folks like me who make $15k a year, you should not give me enough credit that i can make mistakes on it. For me $1000-$1500 limit is good cuz i typically spend around $300-$500 per month on stuff.

Get one of your parents to take one out in your name so you can start building your credit. Next option is to get a capital one secured credit card, if you get this card NEVER get rid of it. I got rid of mine cuz it was only $200 credit line but did not realize it was my longest line of credit, dropped my credit score a good chunk(did not help that paypal dropped me around the same time too for not using their credit enough) so ya paypal credit is another option, i think they offer a card and also are not that picky with who they give credit to. In 2-3 years you should qualify for a good credit card like the chase freedom card which gives 1%-5% cash back on every purchase. Thats why i had mentioned to get a solid bank, yes chase bank costs money, but it is totally worth it at only $5 a month what you get from them is quality.

I am going to get the chase freedom card after we get our mortgage figured out. Just going to put all my monthly expenses on it and pay off my bills to 0 at the end of the month and rake in the rewards.

Credit cards are bullshit but not utilizing them means you're leaving money on the table. Even worse, you're paying for other people's rewards through regular cash transactions regardless.

But you should utilize them. The problem comes when you have an awful bank. If you have a competent bank and can manage all your cards through them, all you are doing is transferring balances every month, very manageable stuff. Then at the end of the year you can redeem your points. I mean, it is a no brainer here to use them but you have to use them on your normal every day purchases and not to floss on people. If you spend $10k/year on stuff it can pay for your phone bill every month. With those savings you can invest it into a mutual fund and end up with 5%-15% more at the end of the year.

Used to think they were a scam but you can get 1%-5% cash back per year which averages out to about $250/year per every $10k spent. That is actually a solid discount that can go towards paying for a vacation. All for spending your money how you normally would.

I know i said college is a scam but i do have an associates in fine arts and while the things i learned did not help me the actual parts like having to memorize stuff and do research actually are useful. I should clarify that college is only a scam if you take out loans for it. If you get a degree for free that is a no brainer that it is worth it. The problem is most folks simply cannot get it for free.

College education is largely unnecessary. Yeah this is kind of how i feel. I do not know why i keep supporting him. Yes he is really funny, but i was pretty depressed after the last special...like, i am pretty sure that is not what comedy is about. It is supposed to be funny, if you can teach someone something as well too that is great but i think dude is feeling himself way too much.
