I really just want my first to be with another Virgin. Especially so there's no risk of STDs. Is that too much to ask?

Frankly, it's stupid.

Non-virgins are far more likely to recognise the symptoms of STDs and avoid them or get treated for them - and being a virgin in the technical sense does not necessarily mean that (a) they've never had non-penetrative sex, which can still carry a risk of STDs, or (b) that they don't have other kinds of infections that can be sexually transmitted. Those do exist, y'know.

You're probably far safer with a mature adult who knows what they're doing than someone with zero experience, in spite of the ignorant stigma that you seem to have bought into about non-virgins being "unclean". You being a virgin doesn't make you any better or purer than anybody else, whatever you think.

When did I say that all non-virgins were unclean? Because I never said that.

I didn't say you said it, but you certainly implied it by claiming the direct opposite.

How insecure do you have to be to want to date a virgin? That's an unhealthy mindset that is probably going to lead to a lot of relationship issues. I imagine that these guys are the type who won't let their girlfriends hang out with male friends if they aren't present.

My girlfriend got mad when I told her I don't care if she's a virgin, because she thinks it devalues her virginity.

That is profoundly disturbing. Sounds like someone has had it drummed into her far too heavily that virginity is a measure of the person and their character. That's... a lot of baggage. And a lot of internalised misogyny :(

When I'm in a serious relationship, the only thing that's important to me is that she doesn't still keep in touch with any of my predecessors. Virginity isn't some magical quality that gives you the power to tame unicorns or anything, and it has no value to me whatsoever.

Yeah, but the more people you've slept with the more unappealing you are imo obviously the difference between 1 and 3 is negligible but what about once they get to 10 or 20 or to a point where they can't even remember anymore?

Pfft. If that's how you feel about it, I certainly wouldn't want to date you (even though I haven't slept with 10+ people, or anything like that). Nor would anyone I know. One's sexual history should only be relevant to a current or future partner where it concerns (a) potential monogamy or polyamory and/or (b) whether or not they or you are clean and healthy down below.

This post just says how narrow-minded you are - very! - and I wouldn't trust anybody of that opinion not to be equally narrow-minded in other ways, some maybe even more important.

How many people have you slept with, then?

(Sorry to post one after the other, thread. My mobile browser is being weird about editing new quotes into old posts or something.)

I was just saying I think it'd be nice to share a first time is all. >_>

Its awwwwkkwwwaaarrrddd.

Way awkward. I did it. Totally not worth the trouble. People obsess over virginity way too much.

The cultures where torn hymens are taken as a sign that someone with a vagina is unclean or promiscuous make me really angry, especially, because that's just total medical ignorance of the worst kind. Penetrative sex is not the only way to tear that thing, any kind of energetic exercise could theoretically do it, gymnastics and horse-riding are the most common kinds that do.

Anyway... Like I said, people treat virginity like such a big deal, but it absolutely isn't and it shouldn't be. Its a psychological thing more than anything, since for most people you really can't tell whether they are or are not a virgin based on physical observation.

20 miles per charge

That's quite far, how long does the battery last when you aren't cruising constantly? My cousin has one but he probably get's like 5 miles max and only like 4-5 hours of time.

Well, I've been able to go from my flat to Manchester city centre (1.5 miles each way), down to London (by coach), from Victoria to Charing Cross & back (2 miles each way) then from the city centre back to my place in 24 hours on one charge. Don't know whether that helps? I went there for a theatre trip so I wasn't constantly on the move. But I can usually get a twelve-hour day out of it without needing to stop and plug in, while doing my grocery shopping and errands around the city.

I'm surprised Ride Sharing isn't one of the answers. I grew up in Chicago where I literally never had to drive to get anywhere so I've never had a license or car. Now that I'm in a city with atrocious public transit, I just use Uber daily.

It wasn't very comprehensive, to be fair! I use my electric wheelchair to get pretty much everywhere. 20 miles per charge, 6-7mph, is enough for me. ^_^;
