A security clearance such as a TS or higher.

TS clearances usually involves an actual investigator who verifies all of your claims when you apply for one. Depending on the type of TS clearance you are even interrogated. If you are serious about a job that requires a TS clearance, I'd highly recommend not lying in one of those. As if the investigator catches it and determines it was intentional, there's a good chance you can kiss that clearance goodbye along with the job that likely needs you with a TS clearance.

I will say, I'd highly recommend not lying on a high profile job that will likely involve an actual background check. Like clearance level work.

Personally, I wouldn't lie to that degree on my resume ever. Maybe finesse my responsibilities and accomplishments, but fabricating an entire college degree is something I'm not bold enough to do. I feel my luck I'd get caught.

Some of it comes from older people being out of touch and not being able to comprehend how easy and accessible it is to learn most skills via the internet. Other times it comes from people being resentful that simply going to college didn't immediately translate to them earning six figures.

I've been on multiple interviews where hiring managers couldn't understand that I have years of experience with certain software suites because to them, the only way you can learn these skills is by taking a college course. Despite having a portfolio and some of my work making the news throughout the years I've been almost completely ignored because I don't have a degree.

I've seen this absolute lie being spread for years, that "they sell hotdogs in 10 packs but the buns in an 8 pack so you have to buy more!" And it's such BS. I don't think I have EVER bought a 10 pack of hotdogs in my entire adult life, and I a man who enjoys wieners quite frequently.

According to the article, the labor union accepted the exemption, and Panera doesn't consider itself fast-food anyway? If freshly-made bread is their main product, then it might be a worthy exemption, and not that big a deal.

The corporation that owns Panera made a fucking $65000 donation to his re-election. This pales in comparison to the millions in donations to both Republican and Democrat candidates in California. In the end, this is a very much a literal nothing-burger that nobody really cares about.

Ive been to the U.S. a few times, and work with some Americans now. Obviously, you cant generalise about the people of an entire nation, but I have found many of the negative stereotypes around Americans are pretty readily apparent in many people.

I had one manager when I worked at a local restaurant who probably believed that. There was a customer who was being a rude asshole and my manager was just bending over backwards for him. That dick said "Eh, I like one apology from dat guy", and my manager tried to get me to do that, but I refused. So my hours got cut and I was written up, but it was perfect since just a few days later I got a call from my current job saying they saw my resume on Indeed and asked if I wanted an interview.

At my last retail job we had a corporate shakeup which left us with a new manager who was in his forties and only worked at the company, since he was a teenager. He was a fanboy for the company almost on the level as a gaming or wrestling fanboy and gloated about the fact that he commuted 2+ hours to and from the store each day.

We had instances where customers would be screaming at cashiers and sometimes insulting them, only for the customers to be rewarded with coupons. One time I got berated on the phone and when transferring it to the manager I said weve got a charmer on line four. I was taken into the office and reprimanded for saying that.
