He only was able to control the events of something he could see and interact with. Which goes in line with when he turned back time to prevent the Hong Kong Sanctum from being destroyed. He was there and used it for that place. When he goes to the Dark Dimension to fight Dormmau he creates a fixed time loop. All of which could screw up the time flow. Dr Strange happened to have a handle on it. And learned more from his time in the Dark Dimension but not enough to circumvent what has been established already. Even the Infinity Stones have limits when used outside the Gauntlet in unison. He cant freeze or turn back time on a universal scale. And he couldnt teleport from planet to planet even if he could freeze or stop time like that. --- |

Also in Doctor Stange, like many other users have pointed out, that the time stone has a range of effect. So your main argument is void. You didnt like the movie. Based on how you have carried on. The series might not be for you if you have to dissect it this deep. --- |
