Small Wonder lasted four seasons. It was VERY popular among kids.
With that said, yes, it could easily fly in today's environment. Kids would like it.
Unfortunately, I can see adult SJWs attacking the show over stupid stuff.
But I think it would be a success due to kids liking it.

On a side note, Nostalgia Critic did a funny retrospective on it (he doesn't like the show very much, but doesn't completely hate it either)

THE 14 YEAR OLD BOY ADMITTED TO REACHING FOR THE OFFICER's GUN!!!! AND HE HAD ATTACKED AND FOUGHT OTHER OFFICERS AT LEAST TWICE PRIOR TO WHAT HAPPENED IN THE VIDEO!!!

"Sources said the teen admitted to reaching for the officers gun during the struggle and had fought with other officers on at least two prior occasions. The video shows the officers gun come loose and a staff member picks it up and places it on the desk. She relocates the gun a second time as the scuffle moves closer toward it."

That was my main problem with that video. The sad part is, most people their age do NOT act that way and do NOT share the same beliefs. Unfortunately, the SJW types are a very vocal minority, so they get heard and a lot of others think people that age are all like that, when they really aren't. Anyway, judging from the like / dislike bar on that video, a lot of people are not going to be coming back for a second episode to this "Does it still hold up" series. Also, very ironic how Seinfeld does still hold up well today through reruns on TBS which bring in nice ratings, yet the react channel Youtube videos have been steadily decreasing in views... they aren't holding up.

Nothing too bad cause they allowed him to use the phone to call his mom to pick him up. He was most likely told to wait in the office until his mom arrives and he said no and wanted to wait outside the school.

Not defending the cops here... BUT.... what exactly did this kid say that caused not one, but TWO cops to go ballistic on him? I read that he was being sent home after he got in trouble with the vice principal. But what exactly did he say? None of the articles stated specifically what. If the kid said something along the lines of "I'm gonna take out a gun and shoot all of you bitches up!!" then I can understand why the cops would go ballistic on him since they are still inside the middle school and they don't want to take any chances of him pulling something deadly out (especially with recent gun shooting incidents in schools). Again, not defending the cops here (what they did was extremely excessive).... but I can't defend the kid here either till I know what exactly came out of his mouth first (which might have been the reason for why the cops went ballistic on him if they felt there was an extremely serious threat that was about to blow up if they hadn't had took him down immediately).

Most young people are NOT like the ones in that video. Most are NOT SJWs but most are not Alt-right either, most are actually very normal (middle of the road, not extremists, which is what the majority of people are. Most people are NOT SJWs or alt-rights. Unfortunately, alt-righters and especially SJWs are a very vocal minority who "scream" very loud). Most of the "Kids" (who aren't really kids) in the video have some very SJW type views. I went back to try to give the video a second chance and it actually got worse.

From what I saw, one girl seriously bought up the #MeToo movement and stated that Seinfeld would not hold up today because of that. While there were a FEW things that they thought was funny about the show, most of them were mostly getting offended or kept bringing up modern day SJW type stuff and kept saying that the show wouldn't hold up today. The irony here is that Seinfeld reruns on TV (on TBS) during 2018, still get better ratings than most new shows today. So yeah, it still holds up. Meanwhile, most of those react videos (all made by the same team) on Youtube has lost a lot of viewers over time.... they are the ones who aren't exactly holding up.

Trust me when I say that you are NOT missing anything by not seeing that video.
I saw the first two minutes.
I had to STOP watching the video after two minutes. I could NOT force myself to go further.

Why?

Well, the "kids" in that video started going full blown "SJW" on the show when they saw a clip from the episode where Jerry Seinfeld gives a woman he is dating some pills in order to put her to sleep so he can play with the toys (like the original G.I Joe and others) on her toy collectors shelf.

They got OFFENDED by the fact that Seinfeld was giving this woman pills to put her to sleep (so he could play with the toys on her toy collectors shelf like G.I Joe) and stated that this was NOT okay behavior, it was offensive, and if a show like this aired today, Twitter would explode and everyone on the show, especially Jerry Seinfeld, would be fired due to the controversy and backlash.

I stopped watching the video after those first two minutes since I felt the urge to punch the screen, so I stopped.
I would like to stress that these "kids" in that video do NOT represent everyone in their age group. Most people their age have a sense of humor and are NOT SJWs.
