While we're on the subject of friends, I am worried we won't be in touch anymore after she moves to a different job. She might get a new job early next year.

She was going to get a new one a few months ago and I was a bit worried but she had told me I could go visit her at the new job. But she ended up staying at our current job. Unfortunately we don't see each other much because of our schedules. But when I do see her at work, I have a blast.

I have her number and we text a bit sometimes. We do most of the talking at work and have fun that way. I'd like to hang out with her outside of work but she really is busy. I am also afraid to ask her out again because I don't want to risk damaging our friendship. But she is completely cool with me liking her.

Anyways, what can I do to stay in touch with her more often? I know that sounds weird to ask considering I have her number but I don't have an idea on what to talk to her about via texting. She can also take a while to reply. And she is very busy.

Im asking because I dont see her much at work and I miss her.

It felt a little strange to me because I rarely have friends.

Pretty much everyone I have considered a friend comes and goes. I do the exact same to them.

Maybe thats why you dony have many... Not trying to be rude or anything...

I wouldn't be surprised.

I guess I just assume friends come and go quickly because that's how it's been for me and how I am.

This isn't the first time she has implied that we'll be friends for a long time. At first I thought it was an expression she made. But she has done it more than once.

I feel very grateful to be honest.

Those things dont need to be said. I have friends that will always be my friends and it goes without saying.

I know. I'm just asking if it's normal for friends to say that. It's a lot more meaningful when they do say that imo.

I was talking to my friend about the future and made jokes. She then said she'd warn my future wife or something related to the joke. I told her she wouldn't know me by the time I get married. Things she said after basically implied she'll still be friends with me for a very long time.

Which felt very nice. I've never had a friend say that to me before.

So I was wondering if it is something girls or people in general say to their friends. If not, could it mean something?

Also wanted to say that I asked this girl out a few months ago. She said no when I asked her out to the movies because she was busy. And some coworker apparently spread a rumor that me and the girl are dating a few months back. A coworker told me the girl was telling him how annoying the person spreading the rumor is and that me and her are very cool. So she definitely knows I like her and Im not exactly hiding it when Im around her.

I dont want to ask her out anymore because it could damage our friendship. Even though I want to be more than friends with her, I really like the friendship I have with her now and dont want to risk it. Plus I have to respect her decision even though I feel like I still have hope.

But yeah, telling a friend you'll still be their friend years from now still a thing people commonly say? I've never had many friends but Ive never heard of this before from my experience.

Im a fan but not a super diehard fan.

I've watched Matrix 2 & 3 but never understood them and found them too boring to care. Yet I still keep watching 2 & 3 to see if I "get" them.

Matrix 1 is a masterpiece however.

I'm fucking glad I don't know any. They are fucking annoying on the internet. I can't imagine how much worse they'd be in person.
