Movies and games have embargos literally the day of sometimes and are still great. On the gaming side, Mario Odyssey's embargo was less than 24 hours before release and it's amazing, and Prey didn't even send out review copies until after release and it was great as well.

Reddit really is the worst. I intentionally make very predictable/generic and cringy shit there sometimes just to see if I get upvoted, and of course without fail you can expect dozens, if not hundreds of them. It's like, if you say something that isn't the most obvious response you'll get downvoted to hell, but if you say something that's either generic of remotely funny, you get all the upvotes.
