You think when Smash first released on the N64 and kids everywhere immediately understood the "higher level" concepts and were rushing into tournaments to compete? No the shit wasn't complicated then and we all jumped on the train because we just wanted to beat up Star Fox and Pikachu. There's nothing more to that formula now that any casual gamer needs to understand.Pick a gaming icon and beat up another gaming icon. Super high concept stuff guys. The fact there's people who are so far up Smash's ass that they can't take it for the simple party game it is is disturbing really. All this is said btw having played a number of hours with casual Smash with very casual gamer friends and having a blast with it. This is honestly one of the weirder arguments I've had on this sub. It's like trying to get someone to understand french fries are made of potatoes. --- |

The fuck world do you live in. This is LITERALLY what Smash is. Full stop. Its a game where no matter what, a group of gamers are going to hop in, find characters they absolutely love and just jump around and have a blast in. It does have a higher learning curve, but that doesnt make it any less appealing to a mass audience. Imagine having friends who are casual games and are utterly BAFFLED by a silly fighting game with a collection of the most recognized characters in gaming history. --- |

In fact after a second watch, looks like he didnt touch it at all, like maybe a slight tap with the top of the cage?That steel looks like it was one second away from catastrophic failure at any point. SquirrelyDan posted... What was in those boxes? Also, he's dead, right? As long as he stayed within the safety of the cage of the vehicle, he has a really good chance of surviving. The way they all fell it seems as though they were putting way too much weight than the steel could hold. Thats a juicy lawsuit for sure. --- |

| SwayM 11/30/18 11:02:30 PM #1 | Everything about it is spot on. The classes finally feel like they matter. The game really promotes teamwork. No regenerating health, limited ammo, spotting limited to the sniper class. Feels good to fill those roles. Gunplay is super tight, probably the best its ever been. All the guns feel great and theres just something that feels right about the shooting. Theres a little less vehicle action but the trade off is vehicles are much more of a threat. Theyre not a disposable taxi to the next objective. A good tank or pilot can hold their own fuckfest for a long time. People said the building mechanics were useless but I dont think thats true at all. You can ignore them, sure, play it like any other BF. but being able to fortify your position with better cover, set up some med and ammo stations is awesome man. Adds a new level to the game. I feel like BF1 is a total clusterfuck and this is the way BF should actually play. --- |

Maybe you should take a big step back and realise how childish and whiny you sound. Maybe the goal isn't to be able to afford everything within the first few hours of the things release. Maybe they want this thing to have the same legs that literally every other multiplayer game in 2018 does, and to do that they want you to spend a lot of time with it. That kind of time commitment that requires a large number of hours to see any sort of progress being made. Or you could just throw money at the problem if that's what you're into. But again, this is a "problem" with essentially every multiplayer game these days. The real question is the actual gameplay fun. Is it worth coming back to. Because who could give a fuck if internet crybabies can't afford a new set of spurs. If you actually have fun playing the game itself is the real question. The spurs will come later kiddo. --- |
