But they may also be paying for their own gas, car insurance, cellphone bill, etc. which is probably what Zeus meant by less of a leech. If they have a job they are probably also helping with food bills. Lol I don't help pay for anything in terms of food or the bills my parents pay. My parents are well off and all my siblings are on their own so they have all this money and nothing to spend on (I don't really add significantly to their expenses anyway). I could easily move out and get my own place but even my own parents think that'd be unwise financially. But I pay for pretty much anything that isn't provided for at home: gas, phone bill, car payments, any personal purchases or food from restaurants. It's a frickin sweet deal and I would recommend to anyone who has a good relationship with their parents and want to save money easily. Of course not permanently, maybe a couple years tops and then move out. My commute to work is about 30-40 minutes but beats having to pay rent. I make good money but I wouldn't have anything to gain by having my own place and paying $1300/mo. My parents and I get along so why not? Going to move out next year though when my girlfriend moves here. If you have a good relationship with your family, have a job and aren't an immature leech then there's nothing wrong with living with your parents at pretty much any age.
