Funny thing is, in postgame you can get that magazine as an accessory. Rab and the Hero can equip it. You can even use it as an item in battle.

Just got done with racing for Prince Farris

People compare it to the orchestrated soundtrack and got pissed off that we didn't get it. I'll agree that the orchestrated music sounds alot better, but there's nothing wrong with what we got imo.

I'm using Manglegrove. Muddy hands call backup frequently, use that time to pep up, kill 1 or 2, let them keep summoning, use Electro and Hallelujah, exp in the hundreds of thousands.

Yeah but they use Whack all the time and it's a giant pain in the ass. Right now it takes about 10 minutes to pep everyone back up and in the mid 60's, I'm getting about 470k exp.

Vicious Muddy Hands don't use Whack, Hardy Hands do if they don't run away.

Are the Slime Earrings in Hotto any good? What do they do? I see no change in my stats were I to buy them...

Slime Earrings only increase your Def by 2 and Charm by 6. Early on they're ok for Serena and/or Veronica, but are outclassed really quick.

They're not worth it honestly. Now earrings like Anti-Freeze Earrings as an example increase def by 5 and charm by 10, but also reduce Ice damage you take by 10%.

Also in case anyone didn't know there's a mini medal in the middle of the field to the left of Warrior's Rest Inn. There's no shining spot so just walk around the middle until you see the arrow and pick it up.

Uber Falcon Blades aren't the best sadly. They're upper tier weapons but outclassed by the ultimate weapons. Still, on Erik they can be pretty powerful especially using Divide and then Critical Claim, even more so Pepped Up. I think he also learns a passive to make his hits deal equal damage or that might be someone else I haven't checked.

Hell even Dual Wielding boomerangs plus Divide makes Erik a mob killing machine. He learns a boomerang skill that can hit twice, dual wielding makes that 2 additional hits, plus Divide.

if you do get veronica back in the post game through time travel does this mean you lose hendrick? does it mean serena loses her power boost or does veronica just become a inferior serena?

There's some spoilers in here for that I'll put it in tags if you really wanna know.

Basically you do get Veronica back, Hendrick does join about 30 minutes or so later, Serena does lose her boost and basically goes back to being pure healing/support. Veronica stays how she was before.

I'll be honest. Post-game, or rather Act 3 is depressing as hell simply because of what you have to do to progress.

As for Casino, it's just Puerto Valor and Octagonia, but new rewards are available. The recipe for Uber Falcon Blades gave me a smile.

I got the mount trophy a few days ago but just now realized--the game doesn't have sabrecat mounts. ;_; I really wanted that. Guess I'll have to play VIII again to get that fix.

It wouldn't be the same without the Sabrecat theme.

Does your armor change physically in the game world when you switch it? That was a big complaint of mine in the last game.

Only costumes do. Everyone has multiple costumes, but regular armor doesn't show up.

they are about the same age but both look like they cant be much older than late 20s or early 30s

yet when you see the flashback to how the luminary's home was destroyed and parents were killed you see hendrick there and he looks the same as he does in the main game and that had to be like 16/18 years ago

I'm guessing Hendrick is possibly in his mid 40's, Sylvando is probably close to that.

I just got Erik and saw the opening credits.

Any tips for those just starting?

Boomerangs for Erik early game are good, so invest points into them, you can respec points so no big deal there.

Don't fight every enemy you see, it will make you over leveled, unless that doesn't bother you.

Don't leave the first town until you complete the quests there. I think there's only 1.

Every character has their own item bag for items they can carry as well as a main item bag. Try to get your characters stocked on recovery items and antidotes early on.

If you get a game over, don't let it bring you down. You'll respawn at the last place you saved, but lose half your gold. Towns have banks so deposit any excess gold to be safe.

When you arrive at a new town, you might be tempted to upgrade your equipment. It's recommended instead upgrade what you have and what enemies drop or you find in dungeons.

In the world and dungeons, there's sparkling spots that shine blue, pick up everything you see. Same with chests.

In towns you'll see these tanish pots and barrels. Break all of them you see. They carry items, stat seeds, and mini medals.

Open every closet.

Examine bookshelves, if you see a bright red book, read it. Some have forge recipes.
That's pretty much the basic starting tips.

Anyone else not see the value in Erik's skill Assassin's Stab? I haven't killed a single thing with it. It costs so many points, too.

It's pretty much the same thing with Demon Spear I think it is. It also has that capability, along with 2 different knives.

I can say with utmost confidence, this roulette jackpot sidequest can burn in hell. 10 times now I've been 1 space away. It's both funny and infuriating. Sometimes the wheel will just immediately stop spinning, other times it slowly moves 2-3 spaces away.

I'm fully expecting a troll face to pop up on screen eventually. I hate being a completionist. I would rather every sidequest involving pep powers then this.
