That's where fans think that the 2 most recent games suck, but the ones before that are great. BotW is more appreciated now than the last 3 games were when they were the most recent one. Twilight Princess is now very popular on the Zelda subreddit.

Maybe, but is any Tekken game as popular as those early MKs? I gotta give MK the overall series edge, and that's part of the reason I give Odyssey the edge with regards to those earlier performances. IMO, it clearly did better in Round 1, and none of Smash's other wins struck me as performances that Odyssey couldn't match (or even outdo).

If most people feel the same way (which I obviously can't say to a certainty, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn it), then isn't this rSFF?

Skyward Sword had competition given the two games per series rule. Pokemon Gen 5 missing the cut was more surprising considering there is only one pokemon game in the bracket.

What's so bad about several Fire Emblem characters making it to Smash? Doesn't that game have like a million characters? I'm sure there's plenty of room. Plus FE has LOTS of characters, so it's not like it doesn't proportionately fit.

Most Smash fans think the series is overrepresented over other more popular series like Zelda. Fire Emblem definitely doesn't have the smash or zelda vote on this site

Zelda and Donkey Kong fans that play Smash also don't like that Sakurai is biased towards Fire Emblem.

but that means it isn't an indie game. an indie game means it's created by a team without the financial support of a large game publisher. ori isn't an indie game by definition.
