Would never happen. I'm actually respectful towards people of different races, so there would never be a confrontation in the first place that could possibly escalate to that point.

This conflict would happen because they notice you are white and assume you support racial discrinination. They wouldnt give you a chance to respond over their constant screaming

They wouldn't assume that, though. Because I don't carry myself that way. Body language is far more important than people realize, tbh. You can go anywhere you want and nobody will give you shit or pay any attention to you as long as you act like you're supposed to be there.

This is a what if scenario. You should know damn well that not everybody thinks like you.

Because... Having unrealistic blood and gore effects for the sake of shock value is part of what gets them an M rating, and by toning it down, they could get a T rating. Having a T rating, in my opinion, has the potential to increase sales - and yes I realize sales are already at a very high level so maybe it would be minimal.

I'm not sure if you're suffering from Alzheimer's or if you're just a troll, but Call of Duty would still be M-rated material, whether the blood is depicted realistically or exaggerated and you are still trying to remain ignorant of this. Your claim that it is because of shock value is you using your emotional bias to jump to conclusions. Not only that, but you are still suggesting that they tone down the content for the T rating despite acknowledging that the difference in sales is negligible kind of renders your whole argument weak.

What difference are you trying to make here?

You jumped to the conclusion that the depiction of blood in COD wasn't realistic, so of course I had to say that. Seriously, the more you reply, the less sense you're making.

No, it's just that your arguments include completely irrelevant points based on your own incorrect assumptions about what my points are.

I didn't "jump to the conclusion that the depiction of blood in COD isn't realistic", because it's a quantifiable, objective fact that the depiction of blood in COD isn't realistic.

What is your argument against unrealistic blood, exactly? Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you claimed that you were merely suggesting that the developers should tone down the violence in Call of Duty, why did you use the word, 'certainly?' It sounds more like a demand instead of a mere suggestion. Pretty much everything in your first comment contradicts your later comments one way or another.
Hexenherz posted...
They certainly should just make them as T-rated games, there's absolutely no reason for them to be rated Mature.

Except the blood isn't really "realistic" in the game. I'm not trying to stop anyone from doing anything, merely suggesting that they might even have increased sales if the rating were lower and therefore more available for purchase by a wider audience...

As opposed to having little, if not less realistic depictions of blood? You know, if they tried to depict blood and gore realistically, it would still meet the M rating, because war isn't clean. Your argument is getting nowhere. Considering how successful Call of Duty already is, your overall argument is pretty much moot at this point.

Advocating censorship would be saying that the government should ban the sale of Call of Duty games in the first place...

And the gore and language adds little, if anything, to the CoD experience itself - suggesting otherwise would just make you a hypocrite regarding "bringing feels" into the equation.

I don't think there's a direct correlation between the facts that CoD 4 sold well and that it was M-rated.

You literally suggested that Call of Duty should tone down its content to meet the Teen rating because you felt that the Mature-rated content in those games are gratuitous. That's basically the general idea of censorship.

Nowhere did I say that the mature content in Call of Duty contributed to the sales, nor did I ever say it adds much to the experience. All I said was that there's nothing wrong with implementing the more realistic aspects such as blood and bad language in an otherwise arcade-like game. That's the developer's decision, who are you think you are to stop them? Arcade-simulation hybrid games exist, you know. Not everything has to be black and white.

Well, besides the fact that a T rated game would probably sell better than an M rated game just by virtue of the fact that they aren't age restricted. That seems like a pretty sound reason to me?

While that may be true, game developers do not have to conform to this. I mean, franchises like Grand Theft Auto and the M-rated Call of Duty games are highly successful. Hell, Deadpool was considered to one of the most successful R-rated movies of all-time. The developers simply concluded that since they got a successful M-rated Call of Duty 4 on their hands, why bother toning down the content?

Call of Duty was never truly meant to be a fully realistic war simulation, but there's nothing wrong with incorporating the more realistic aspects of war, such as the so-called gratuitous gory images and bad language. So really, your comment advocated censorship.

There doesn't need to be "Mature" content in the games... They could tone down the blood and swearing and pointless "shock" scenes that have been in the series since at least 4 and get a Teen rating. The "mature" content adds nothing of value to the game which is basically an arcade hallway shooter to begin with.

You should have logical reasons better than muh feelings and that it's an arcade game.
