People joke about Bethesda, but there are many people who are still fans of some of their game series. On one hand, I'm bummed out I most likely won't be able to play ES and more so Fallout anymore, but on the other hand, seeing their whoring of Skyrim and their making Fallout even more casual and "streamlined" with 4 and especially 76 doesn't give me much hope anyway. I liked 4, but I have a feeling the next FO game will be more like 76 and I really don't like it. So I'm conflicted pretty much.

It's just so damn ugly even on just a surface level. Even if it wasn't being used by corporations to appear hip, fun, and less evil, I'd hate it.

I like some of Ted Nugent's music for what it is: dumb, silly rock music you can turn your brain off to and just rock out. Same for other right wing musicians. Going by some of the problematic parts of some of the James Bond novels, Ian Fleming certainly leaned conservative and I really like the books and the movie series that came from them.

I'm sure there's more. Awful people can make great things.

It really wouldn't be shocking if decades from now, if the country and society in general are still around, that the Republican party actually worshiped Satan or some sort of "death god" in private and were literally a death cult that reveled in human misery and death.

Never underestimate:
-The stupidity, gullibility, apathy, and fickleness of the average American.
-The cult like fanaticism of the Republican party. Even those who hate Trump hate Democrats/liberals even more and would rather have Trump as president than a Democrat.
-The propaganda machine of the media that props up the fascists
-Democrat ineptness
-Republican cheating and Democrats' lack of a spine and reluctance to put up a fight.

His chances might be lower, but the left should never act like a victory is a sure thing. That's what helped get us Trump in the first place. The last election wasn't exactly a landslide either.

The town from Footloose is the same town from Tremors. The ban on dancing wasnt a puritanical attempt to control the youth. The town elders were aware of the graboid threat, and banned dancing out of the fear that it would cause rhythmic vibrations waking up the creatures sleeping below the town. Kevin Bacons character in Footloose stayed in the town, growing up to be his character in Tremors, at which point he has to try and contain the danger he inadvertently released.

AVGN has gone downhill pretty much. I still watch out of weird habit. I've watched a lot of Dunkey's stuff, but not regularly. I never took his videos outside the more relatively serious retrospect ones as serious video game criticism either though. He's still hilarious.

And for me, I've always thought many put the SR series on too high of a pedestal. Not saying they weren't fun, but they were always kinda goofy and felt unpolished in parts, but some of these clips from the new one makes the old ones look like GTA 4 with how goofy it is.

You know, I liked the SR games, but I was never a super huge fan of them. I think I might try the new one for shits and giggles since it's free and most likely stop barely a quarter of a way through.

Southernfatman, you're absolutely right in that voting may not be enough for us to stop the fascists. In order to destroy their ideology, we must constantly prepare for the worst case scenario while living our lives as best as we can. Also, be sure to cut ties with any relative or acquaintance who happens to support Trump and the Republicans. They can never be counted on to do the right thing.

I get what you're saying, but more has to be done to save the lives of those who will be oppressed and murdered.

Ahhh the US really needs better civics education.

As much as I'd love to see the WI GOP get an extremely short haircut, you can't just mobilize the national guard whenever they upset you.

Moreover, what would sending in the NG actually do? This particular thing isn't like in the civil rights era where you'd send them in to protect certain people or forcibly desegregate schools, like where there was a function they could fulfill.

It's so obvious that they're taking over the state and being anti-democratic. And do you think the civil rights of many people aren't going to be affected in Republican controlled states? You're right though, better just let the fascists win. So what's your solution then anyway? You can't just say "go vote" because that's what Wisconsinites did and look what's happening.

He's a rich prominent Republican and the Feds are cowardly enablers. It really wouldn't be that surprising if Trump just went "nope" to his sentence. Republicans get away with so many crimes because the feds/dems/doj won't do anything about them.

Seems like there's too many "bad owners" then and there needs to be regulations on who can own them. Then again there's all those stories about how the dogs were fine for years and then just snapped, like this one. Even if you're being tongue in cheek, just stop. People shouldn't be mauled, possibly to death, because of a damn dog that people just have to have.

How many times do things like this have to happen before people realize these dogs are dangerous and unpredictable? Lots of victims aren't even the owners as well. You could be walking in your neighborhood and be mauled by some irresponsible asshole's dog. They're just too powerful and too dangerous. There needs to be extreme regulations for them if not a ban.
