Stallord for the actual fight.

Once you factor in atmosphere/setting/etc., I would favour OOT Ganon or TWW Ganondorf over it.

My understanding of that election is that LePen has never had anything more than her core far-/alt-right base (Which would easily get her to the runoff), and everybody else was more or less completely going to coalesce behind whoever her runoff opponent was, leaving her with basically no chance in the end.

Must be nice to have a political system where voters don't just vote for somebody just because of what party they're in...!

More or less correct, but not perfectly accurate. Had Le Pen's opponent been Fillon (conservative candidate mired in scandals), many leftist voters would've abstained in the 2nd round. Most polls between Fillon & Le Pen had them very close to one another (54-46, if my memory is correct), which means a Le Pen victory, while unlikely, would've still been plausible.

If the far-left guy (Mélenchon) had been Le Pen's opponent instead, I have absolutely no clue what would've happened. Chances are many centrist & centre-right voters (who represent about a third of eligible voters) would've abstained. Again, a Le Pen victory was very much a possibility.

Against Macron, though, she stands no chance. While he may not be everybody's first choice (as is usually the case with centrist politicians), a majority of the population is okay with a Macron win and will happily vote for him in the run-off to block Le Pen. He is by far the worst opponent she could've drawn.

The most recent poll (conducted today) has Macron beating Le Pen 62-38 in the run-off in two weeks.

Macron is going to win handily. I think polls have him at 60-40 vs. Le Pen, and they were very accurate for the 1st round. Given that the run-off is way easier to predict than the chaotic 1st round...
