The consoles before them were more defined. One was superior for shooters and the other was RPGs.

Then ps3 lost that identity and became more like Xboxes. Not that Xboxes didn't try it's hand on RPGs. But the crowd leaned towards shooters, so PS3 had to get in there with those multi-platform games being their big blockbusters too.

PS3 was so hard to program for compared to the 360. I remember so many mutiplats on Ps3 were more buggy and preformed worse so the 360 was the default for them.

Both Sony and Microsoft did well in this console generation. 360 was ahead for so long then until PS3 slowly creeped up to them and just barely managed to sell a million more units at the end.

I'm still using a 1070 and no complaints

If the only goal is to making money why bother putting effort in crafting a good game and when I can just make an addicting one with loot boxes and microtransactions? Just pay off IGN to give my game a 8/10.
