They screw up risotto a lot more. You should try making that.

Risotto is easy as well. As long as the stock is kept heated and you're constantly tasting it until it reaches consistently it's seems really hard to fuck up.

What I can't cook for the life of me is salmon. My salmon fillets also end up fine on the inside but the skin gets burnt to shit :(.
I would be fucked if I had to cook salmon on the show.

I didn't completely dislike the new guy but I felt his accent was way off. I probably would've preferred if they found a way to bring Mel Gibson back.
My fav scene is the bit where they drive into the sandstorm at the start. Nux was my favourite character.
Now I'm craving more over the top action movies.

Ramsay's standard for cooking them correctly is probably far more strict than what you're holding yourself to. Scallops in a Michelin-style setting are quite difficult, they burn easily, they dry out easily, and they can look deceptively done properly when they actually aren't. They're also juggling multiple tables' orders at once and have to time them such that they're ready when the other stations are ready so everyone gets their food at the same time still hot.

Also, the producers of the show have admitted they cast 3-4 chefs who they are confident will go far and everyone else is just brought on for looking like they'd be an entertaining hot mess on camera.

Fair enough. Especially that Raj guy. That can't be a real person

I feel this is the dish that gets fucked the most.
I'm not even a good cook but I had to buy and cook scallops the other day because i was so curious about them.
Literally season them before they hit a piping hot pan, 1 minute on either side and take them out and done. Mine came out with a nice sear and they basically melted in my mouth and were delicious so i'm assuming I did it right

.75oz 1 to 1 Ginger and Honey Syrup
.75oz Lemon Juice

Shake and strain over one ice large, clear cube of ice. Garnish with candied ginger and using an atomizer, spray/layer peated scotch over the top of drink

Shake and double strain into coupe with half salt rim.

Should be light, citrusy, a little sour, tangy and an explosion of Agave flavours.

Village to Village

1.5oz Blanco Tequila
.5tsp Allspice Dram
1.5oz Fuji Apple Juice
.5oz Honey Syrup
.5tsp Ginger Syrup
.75oz Lemon Juice
Shake and strain into pilsner/weizen glass over crushed ice and garnish with mint and angustora bitters.

Unfortunately my only weizen/pilsner glass is too big for the volume of th cocktail :(
Not bad though. Very rum/tiki inspired flavours. You'd be very surprised at what a difference the ginger and Allspice dram make.
My only complaint which is most likely my fault is the Apple Juice gets lost too much in the other bold flavours. I juices the apples myself and I think I'd either have to pick better apples or increase the pour to 2oz.

2oz Reposado Tequila
.25oz Smith and Cross Rum (I had to use Appleton Estate because Smith and Cross isn't available in my country.
.75oz.Lime Juice
.5oz Cinnamon Syrup
.25oz Cane Sugar Syrup
1 dash of orange bitters
2 Orange Wedges

Muddle orange wedges and shake ingredients. Serve over crushed ice and garnish with orange crescent.
You'd be surprised just how well rum and agave spirits work.

1.5oz Jalapeno Infused Tequila
.5oz Espadin Mezcal
.5oz Red Bell Pepper/Red Capsicum Puree
.5oz Cane Sugar Syrup
.5oz Lime Juice
Pinch of Kosher Salt

Shake and Strain. No garnish.

Love this one. Very earthy and vegetal. I'd consider this almost a meal in a drink.
Love the flavour combination of Agave and Capsicum.
The spice comes in at the end of the finish and it's the perfect balance

This one's a Silver Monk

2oz Blanco Tequila (Preferably Highlands)
.75oz Yellow Chartreuse
.75oz Lime Juice
.5oz Sugar Syrup
2 Cucumber wheels
8 Mint Leaves
Pinch of Kosher Salt

Muddle the cucumber wheels in shaker. Add ingredients and shake over ice.
Garnish with mint sprig and cucumber ribbon.

Super fresh and herbaceous. The yellow chartreuse adds a nice subtle complexity and it's just a nice green, fresh tasting drink.

I loved the action scenes in Reloaded as a kid to the point I'd sit there just them on replay over and over.
I watched the Neo vs Smith clone fight the other it's aged absolutely horrendously. Nowadays I prefer the more gritter and slightly more grounded feel of the first one.

Melbourne was has had ridiculous lockdown for I believe the longest time time during the pandemic and they're wondering why compliance has gone out the window.
Not even allowed to gather in small groups outside, locked inside your residence for 23 hours a day, masks outdoors even when you're by yourself, 9pm curfew even though we've finally gotten it through our thick heads that covid zero isnt lasting forever. Shits fucked.

Shake and serve over crushed ice with a zested "tribal" lime and mint sprig. My mint sprig sucks unfortunately.

Was the absolutely shit as a kid
I lovedthe mystery and adventure and the build up and tension as the main characters entered the areas where the gems were hidden was intense. I remember maze of the beast being scary as.
Also it was pretty dark for a kids fantasy series. I think characters got brutally killed off and all sorts of things.

Yea I tried watching Stranger Tides but I had to stop after like 20 minutes.
It feels really bootleg. And Jack Sparrow seems really out of character and it's just jarring.

There may be alot of useless scenes that don't add up to much (like the cannibal island) but that doesn't matter when everything in the movie is so.entertaining and fun to look at.
And the awesome water wheel fight. The lore is interesting and the humour is on point.

Gaming definitely has had a massive comeback.
I feel roughly 2008 - 20014 was the dark ages of video games. It's since gotten way better. My favourite franchises like resident evil and Crash Bandicoot have made a massive comeback.
