There are stupid people everywhere. But then, why have those stupid people only tried to ruin art, and not, say, egg an oil baron's mansion? Or try to shoot them? Or blow up the pumping unit for a pipeline (not the pipeline itself, though a stupid person could try that too)?

If the stupidity rhymes this much, with them always going after art in a museum, not a private collection, but a PUBLIC MUSEUM, then there should be a dozen more people by now who tried to assassinate people of wealth based on fossil fuels.

Not saying that you are wrong about only finding out then. Short of the fact that wizards would probably still continue the "stay secret" thing the best they can. They don't exactly need electricity for modern conveniences like plumbing and light, and while no info is available on their food supply chain, they probably have magical farms and such hidden away since they tend to REALLY not want to interact with muggles more than the absolute minimum.

And just think, the Star Citizen Kickstarter was in 2012 with an initial target of 2 million. A dozen years and 600 million dollars later, it's still being one-upped by every other space title that's actually been released.

Including No Man's Sky, which apparently was really really bad at launch, but has apparently actually fixed a lot of the issues it had.

I have no experience with No Man's Sky other than what other people have said, and it basically sounds like "Star Citizen Done Right" to me. Like it started off as if it were a scam, but they then actually put in a lot of effort to make up for it after to try to live up to the initial hype they didn't initially meet, and have succeeded reasonably well at creating something worthy of the original hype since then.

At least that is my impression from what I hear about it.
