You can survive a fall from a high position with minimal injuries, just as long as you hit something really hard like a balcony before you hit the ground.

I stopped watching before the movie came out, but the film itself is what made me hate current Homer.

He pollutes Springfield through sheer selfishness/laziness, which gets the town trapped in a bubble. Obviously everyone is pissed that he has sentenced them to death, but because they're angry with him he's willing to let them all die.

Another thing I hate about current Simpsons is that the show used to be timeless. Now it's current celebrities, and musings on what is happening here and now. I'd rather The Simpsons lived in their own world instead of living in ours.
