Arnold displayed the Conan sword and used it as a metaphor to describe how the United States can triumph over the Capitol rioters who want to tear this country apart. You gotta hear his description ... it rings true. The former Cali Guv, who was born in Austria 2 years after the Nazis lost WWII, compared the Nazis to the rioters. He talked about Kristallnacht -- The Night of Broken Glass -- where the Nazis went on a rampage against the Jews in 1938 and then said the Proud Boys were the Nazi equivalent. He says last Wednesday was our Night of Broken Glass. Arnold called the elected officials and other leaders who have been empowering Trump "spineless," saying they were too cowardly to stand up to the worst President in our history. And, Arnold offered something interesting ... an understanding of what's behind the rioters. He explained something he told Harvey during an episode of "Objectified," where he said as a child his dad was a failed Nazi supporter who lost the war, became a drunk and was physically abuse to young Arnold. He said his dad was like other dads in his neighborhood -- angry and abusive. He's clearly comparing the failed Nazis to the insurrectionists who invaded the Capitol. --- |

The flight was en route from Jakarta to Pontianak in Indonesia. "We are aware of media reports from Jakarta, and are closely monitoring the situation," Boeing said in a statement. "We are working to gather more information." The Ministry of Transportation office in Jakarta confirmed to ABC News that the flight lost contact at 2:40 p.m. local time after departing from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta. ABC News confirmed 62 people were on board: 56 passengers and six crew members. "We are aware of media reports from Jakarta, and are closely monitoring the situation," Boeing said in a statement. "We are working to gather more information." The highest altitude it reached was 10,900 feet and the last altitude recorded was 250 feet. A search for the plane has begun, and the situation is under investigation. During a press conference later Saturday morning, officials said some debris was found near the Thousand Islands chain, off the coast of Jakarta. They are still working to determine the exact coordinates of where the plane crashed. Search operations were called off due to visibility problems and will resume the next day. The first flight for this aircraft was in May 1994. It is 26 years old, Flightradar24 said. Overall, no problematic weather has been reported Saturday in the Indonesia. Satellite imagery over the Java Sea, north of Jakarta, shows no notable weather concerns where the plane lost contact with the radar. Exactly, that excitement after school on Friday nights and wanting to get there ASAP hoping there was still some new release movies/games left Still got the last Blockbuster in Oregon still chugging along. Which reminds me, watched a good documentary a few weeks back called the Last Blockbuster, all about the final location in Oregon, pretty good/nostalgic Middle hope posted... They were like the last big holdout. So many good memories. Kinda already happening with drive-in theaters because of Covid --- |

The fine is the largest penalty in United States history under the Toxic Substances Control Act. The settlement is part of a deal Home Depot reached with the Environmental Protection Agency and the DOJ. Home renovation companies that subcontracted with Home Depot are accused of cutting corners during renovations. According to the EPA, the contractors for Home Depot were cutting corners when removing lead paint spreading dust and paint chips. Lead paint was banned in 1978 because it was linked to serious health problems including developmental issues in young children. It is not clear how the $20 million from the fine will be used, but there is no mention that any of it will go to victims. --- |
